I'm gonna go ahead and call BULLSHIT on this.
When you have a mix of lavender and pumpkin, and it turns guys on, the secret is: the pumpkin doesn't mean shit, it's the damn LAVENDER that is triggering the guys. Whoever did this study was an idiot.
It reminds me of a job I had when I was 20 or so - I was waiting tables in a college town, and it was summer, and we had a drought, and people weren't watering their lawns. And a woman where I worked had mentioned that her washing machine was leaking, and so she moved it to her front porch so the leak wouldn't ruin the floor in the house, and as a result, the washing machine just drained into the lawn. She said "I don't know what they put in laundry detergent, but the lawn sure loves it."
I just glared at her for a second, and she says "what?" So I said, "don't you realize what's so great about the laundry detergent that's turning your lawn green?" She says, "no, what?" "It's the WATER that you're diluting it with 1000:1! The lawn doesn't care about the detergent - it needs the WATER!"
Sometimes people completely miss the obvious.3 6 0 0😂😂 like your answer. And yeah I've never heard of pumpkin doing that ever lololol
I love the smell of lavender nothing happens outher than wanting to sleep 😂 you didn't know that?

That seems unlikely.
Pumpkin is a globally-recognized medicinal-herb, and many sources (some more/less credible than others) cite its uses:
https://www.emedicinehealth.com/pumpkin/vitamins-supplements.htm
http://medicinalherbinfo.org/000Herbs2016/1herbs/pumpkin/
https://www.medicinalplants-pharmacognosy.com/herbs-medicinal-plants/pumpkin/
http://www.naturalmedicinalherbs.net/herbs/c/cucurbita-pepo=pumpkin.php
Even very reputable sources mention pumpkin:
https://www.cambridge.org/core/services/aop-cambridge-core/content/view/S0954422410000107
https://www.drugs.com/npp/pumpkin.html
But none of them seem to attribute it male-aphrodisiac effects, except this:
https://herbpathy.com/Uses-and-Benefits-of-Pumpkin-Cid402
Personally, though, I don't know how reputable this source is.
Personally, I've taken pumpkin-spiced foods a good number of times, but don't ever recall experiencing the mentioned effects. Just a few minutes ago (okay, 'seconds' now 😉), I had a bite of a pumpkin chocolate-chip cookie. No effect of the sort.1 0 0 0😂😂 but yeah I've never heard that either.. It was the scent of pumpkin and lavender said to get guys aroused, but again first I'm hearing that in 48 years lol
Well, lavender seems a bit cryptic, too. I know it has many benefits:
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/265922
www.webmd.com/.../lavender
www.healthline.com/.../what-lavender-can-do-for-you
But, none mention aphrodisiac-like effects.
In fact, "A Love Letter to Lavender" (dated 28 February 2019) notes:
「However, for a plant renowned for inspiring or inducing love, there’s not a single study on lavender’s social bonding, aphrodisiac, or sexual activity effects.」
www.healthline.com/.../lavender-history-plant-care-types
And yet, the same source lists lavender as an aphrodisiac (#2 in the list dated 17 June 2019).
www.healthline.com/.../aphrodisiac-essential-oils
What happened: a new study, perhaps? The citation-link for the referred study does not open (on my device, as of now, so I can't read and verify the date of the cited research). If it is new research, I guess, we'll have to wait for the other reputable sources to update their info. Otherwise, it🤮🥴

just yesterday I was at the store with my brother and passed by the candle section. Which of course pumpkin is in season for the holidays. That I smelled the candle 🤢 and didn’t like the scent. And asked my brother to smell it too, he didn’t like it either. That I even commented saying: “I can’t believe people like this smell.” Which was in a reference to a sex article I read about people liking pumpkin scent during sex. Yuck. But I guess it’s better than your typical 🧈 butteryfishbroth stench.1 0 0 0😂😂😂
I’m a girl and I’ve been craving pumpkin cookies for 3-4 weeks now and I think it’s because fall is approaching and I have a tradition of eating pumpkin spice lattes in the winter time from Starbucks - maybe Starbucks already knew it was an aphrodisiac

11 72That is something I have never heard before. I also find it bizarre, from a biochemical standpoint, why you'd get a sexual reaction from the fragrances of two plants that grow in different hemispheres on completely separate continents.
I've also never observed this effect firsthand; though to be fair, I mainly encounter the smell of pumpkin in pie form, and my opinion on Thanksgiving is that if you can still think about sex, you haven't eaten enough.1 0 0 0Lolol right 🤣
Sounds like lies, but I can't speak for all males.
I know that I myself find the smell of Pumpkin to be repulsive, I actually avoid smelling it but do enjoy things like pumpkin lattes and pumpkin pie.
I remember every time I carved a pumpkin on Halloween I absolutely hated the smell but loved making the designs enough to do it.
As far as I know, my other friends dislike the smell, but I don't know every guy :D
As for the Lavender, it isn't a turn on, but I certainly love the smell, it makes me feel calm and feels homely :)1 0 0 0👍👍🙂
:D have a nice day! ^_^
You as well 🙂
MYbe bc they can puncture a hole in it and go to fun town 🤔
1 1 0 0Hahahaha lmao 😂
I meant the knowledge of it not that they’re actually going to 😊😊 I uhh I’m unqualified to comment on the matter 😏
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
Nope. Pumpkins are not Aphrodisiac food. The Lavender oil however can be of help but independently does not do much.
1 1 0 0It the aroma not eating it.. But yeah I never heard it before either
I've heard the lavender thing before and it's well documented that vanilla can cause permanent erections but pumpkins new to me. I'll definitely be putting one by the door just in case
1 1 0 0😅😂😂👍
Don't know who it is that does these tests, but this is sure news to me as I have never heard of this and certainly never witnessed this.
1 0 0 0Right, me neither 🤷🏼♀️ lol why just had to ask, lol
Hah. I never noticed that effect on me. When I smell pumpkin baking I just get hungry. If it works as they say, someone should create a pumpkin and lavender scented women's perfume. LOL
Sometimes guys affectionately call their partners Pumpkin because women have all kinds of nice round stuff. But I've never met a woman who smelled like pumpkin. 🤔1 1 0 0They do sneaky have a pumpkin body spray 😂😂
And guys want to just eat them all up. Hahaha
😂😂😂 no dessert before dinner,😂😂😂
I remember when talking about pheromones when I searched them up (this goes into a mix of natural scent to sexually attract a partner, as well as arousal of both sexes) that while a guy can get attracted from a person's natural scent, they can also get a boner from the smell of lavender and pumpkin pie. Most likely it is a random boner and not finding the smell sexually arousing. I think you guys should definitely look up pheromones though, they're pretty neat hormones that are in our body.
1 0 0 0I've never heard that and never noticed that effect when I baked a fresh pumpkin pie.
1 1 0 0Lol right I never heard of that before either that Pumpkin pie sounds good tho 👍🙂
Every year, I buy the pumpkins and make them "from scratch." If you don't have plans, come down to Florida and enjoy a warm Thanksgiving!
Sounds inviting.. Warm Florida verses cold lol but sure I'll don't Thanksgiving with my girls and grandson
I never heard that before. But, pumpkin is really high in omega 3, which is optimal brain food.
1 0 0 0👍👍 ah okay
I've never heard that one before. The smell of pumpkin just reminds me of Halloween and Thanksgiving. I've never heard of pumpkin cream cheese, either. It doesn't sound good, to me.
As for lavender, which was also mentioned in the text image in the question, it totally grosses me out. It's way too pungent.
On a side note, I wish I knew the name of a perfume that a girl I once dated used to wear. It would turn me into an animal when she wore it. I'd feel like my frontal lobes had been removed!1 0 0 0What did it smell like?
Heaven. I can't describe it at all. I'm not familiar with many scents. It wasn't lavender or pumpkin, though.
Well yeah I figured that 😂😂
I’ve never heard of pumpkin cheesecake turning guys on however it certainly tastes good (albeit unhealthy). I know this answer isn’t very helpful. I’m sorry
0 1 0 0Just Pumpkin not Pumpkin cheesecake
Lol I’m embarrassed. Sorry
Don't be! You're half right cuz if the smell of pumpkin really did arouse them the smell of pumpkin pie baking would right 😂
I have heard that the combination of pumpkin and lavender scents can increase blood flow to the penis, however I have never tried it myself.
1 0 0 0Yeah that's what it said.. Never heard it before either
Hummm... I think I have some lavender oil somewhere. Just need to get some pumpkin. LOL
Why would pumpkins turn guys on? I have never heard that, never once had a guy say that, and don't buy it for a minute. I am sure there is some guy out there with a pumpkin fetish, but otherwise, no, no way.
0 0 0 0The aroma of pumpkin and lavender
This is some sort of sign I think. I am from a small town in Northern Illinois. Each October it hosts '🎃 Pumpkin Festival' featuring the largest parade in Illinois. Our little 10,000 people town gets 250,000 over the main weekend...👍
True or False:
an 8 year old @Spartan55 won the pumpkin 🎃 pie eating contest in 1978?1 0 0 0😂😂 well now you know why 😂😂

I have never got a boner from a pumpkin and that may be due to ED but I have never gotten ED from a vagina.
0 0 0 0I only have ED with pumpkins. Naked ladies, no problem. I may not be able to impregnate pumpkins but I am perfectly capable of putting throbbing things into the vagina. I know that restricts my breeding options but that doesn't mean I am a lesser person just because I don't have the hots for a pumpkin. It's like I can focus more of my energy on vaginas because maybe other guys are having sex with pumpkins and I can do it with the vaginas.
I am a 100% vagina person. That makes me not vegan. It's probably vegan guys who are getting boners over pumpkins. If I have a boner, I can 100% guarantee that there is a vagina in the vicinity or at least a guy with a high-pitched voice and a nice hairstyle.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well dam! Where have I been? Where do I start? 🤔
1 3 0 1Please excuse the hair and my boss chin 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
No but it does turn women on tf did that end up backasswards
1 0 0 0😂😂😂
Seriously around autumn how many girls go to Starbucks for pumpkin spice or whatever it's called
I don't know a lot? But it's the aroma of pumpkin mixed with lavender that's said to arouse men and yeah I've never heard that before
I wouldn't say pumpkin specifically... in my twenties everything turned me on.
If a woman is dressed in some kind of hot pumpkin costume for Halloween, then yeah... pumpkins can be a turn on. Other than that, I don't think so1 0 0 0😂😂
