  • Was going to but I heard horror stories
I have Nexplanon and I really like it

  • Yes, I didn’t like it because it made me bleed for 6 months so I got it taken out

  • I dont know what an IUD is.
But i thing i know is that i hate hate hate hate menstruation

    • An IUD is an intrauterine device used to prevent unwanted pregnancies and regulate/reduce the periods.

  • I'm scared of those things because i heard they can poke you and mess up your periods

    • They do stop periods more or less on most occasions.

  • Never. I have used birth control pills. I stopped years ago though

  • Definitely not I refuse to take any birth control

  • Nope.

  • I got my first when I was 16, at this point in life I couldn’t picture not having it.

  • I actually haven't. Those things look... weird. Like medieval torture devices.

    • They do look weird but they do the job ;)

  • No I've only used the pill and my body has been sensitive to the hormones (lots of infections) so I'm scared to put something in my body I'd have to get removed if I had a reaction. And I know to many people who have had trouble with them stepmoms fell down in was not where it was supposed to be and was kind of making a crazy and my aunt was allergic to the copper and one of them and my other aunts friend it grew into her uterus

    • Both me and my mom have been using it for months now and no problem so far :)

    • I'm glad! And problems with lady business sucks.

  • I am infertile so I don't use birth control, my potential partners and I always get regular check ups as well.

  • I’ve been on kyleena for a couple years. No complaints here.

  • I never used one but it was suggested when I was 18.

  • My friend did. She stopped using it when she heard that IUDs can cause cancer.

    • How old was she?

    • She was 25 when she started using it, 28 when she stopped. She's totally fine.

    • Thats not true. If your already at risk for cancer, anything that has estrogen can increase your risk. Its not the IUDS fault

  • Nope. I used the pill and before I got married I used condoms some along with the pill.

  • Nope. And can't really give an opinion because it's a subject that I honestly don't have a lot of knowledge on.

  • Yes in my 20s for 10 years

  • Yes, I have had one.. No issues with it.. got it taken out.. if I ever got it put back in id be in another relationship

    • How long did you use it? Was it the hormonal one?

    • You can keep one in for 5 years a month before I had to take it out I did.. loved how I didn't have periods anymore but made me wonder where did all the blood go? Might get another not sure tbh

  • I have an IUD. I had major problems with my cycle for my entire life (since age 12) and nothing helped. I've had the IUD for about a year and I have minimal cramping and almost no period.
I have heard of serious complications from it though, if it has been inserted incorrectly.

  • No I have not
