I sit whenever there isn't a urinal around. I used got used to it growing up. Something about mom saying that when pee standing causes splashes because when your pee hits the water in the toilet it ricochets (can't think of the exact term... it was 30 years ago).
If there's a urinal, I stand unless I feel that I might poo.

I prefer to sit down because there is no chance of missing the hole and having to clean up after. Penises are like miniguns : you don't have precise first shots but you readjust with the tracers.
I'm just tired of the unpredictable initial spray, the stream splits and all of that. I'll pee standing up if it's outside or if the toilets are nasty though.
