They're desperate for attention and validation. They need guys to lust for them and girls to be jealous of them in order to prop up a fragile self-image. If they're not constantly told how attractive they are, then they feel like they're nothing, because deep down they're terrified of not being good enough and are worried they have nothing to offer but their looks. And even then, some aren't even sure they offer that, so being told they're hot is a reminder that they have at least one thing going for them.
Well said, sir. What’s worse is when it’s someone you know, and you feel obligated to “show your support” by liking it because if you don’t you must just be a jealous hater. The whole concept just makes me roll my eyes.

It’s still hot but I always know that they are straight up thirsty. It is very random that you will find someone posting on social media for any other reason then “just because” some times you will find someone who can actually admit that they just want attention though.
Well that has so many variables. Like is she an attractive woman? does she have good fashion sense? Does she dress like a whore? There is no possible answer but in general yes. I have woman I fallow on social media who I know are simply thirsty but I still like their personality or their fashion sense. But I try to build them up in comments to show that they do not need to post such pics.

Like I will comment on how much they are strong independent woman and how well they handle situations that they post about. Or if they post any personal dilemma they are dealing with I will encourage them through that.
