Guys, why do girls get called sluts when guys get praise from each other for the same behavior?

Why do single promiscuous women get shamed and called sluts for having sex with multiple people?

  • Men have the cheap and easy part in reproduction, so it benefits the species for men to spread their genetics as far and wide as possible. Women’s investment in reproduction is huge compared to men, so it benefits the species if they are as selective as possible in choosing from a wide range of suitors. Even though humans have gotten clever about avoiding untimely reproduction, sex and reproduction still go hand in hand. This biological dynamic underpins the answers to your questions.

    The reason women call women sluts is different than why men call women sluts.

    Women do it because other women who are “easy” make it more difficult to find a good boyfriend. (See the above explanation.) If one woman is giving it away, male attention goes to her. Other women may see that strategy as successful and imitate it, making a good man even more difficult to find. Hence the shaming.

    Men do it, often times, to be spiteful because they were rejected. They may also have (usually hypocritical) standards, or feel they need a virgin because they know they are inept in bed and a virgin wouldn’t know the difference. Still others are afraid that a woman with a lot of history is likely to cheat or “isn’t tight”, which is, of course, bullshit.

    A-In my opinion, nothing. But again, the above explains human behavior.

    A-It depends. If that’s all she wants, why should she feel bad? If she hates herself for it and feels only loneliness and emptiness because of it, then perhaps she needs to be a little introspective about why that is.

    Q-Should a man feel bad about himself if he has random hook-ups?
    A-The same answer applies to men.

Women want a man who is BETTER than her (has a better job, more education, higher income, higher status, etc.) because women always want to date/marry UP.

    Men look for totally different things in women - men care nothing about a woman's advanced education, career, or ambition - those are not "points in her favor" as they would be for a man. Instead, when men are looking for relationships, most men are looking for a woman who will make a good MOTHER to their children. This means: young, natural (the fewer tattoos, piercings, implants, etc. the better), and who prioritizes motherhood rather than a career.

    Because men are looking for women to become the mother of their children, her having had sex with a bunch of other men is not a positive but a negative - it increases her chances of an STD and also increases her natural hypergamy (her desire for even higher-status men), which makes her less likely to be satisfied in a relationship, which means the relationship is less likely to last.

  • Your question focuses on 'if guys can praise each other for being promiscuous, why can't women get the same praise?' That means that you are focused on what others think of your behavior. Why don't you just focus on whether promiscuous behavior is morally defensible and whether it has long term consequences for the quality of the relationships that you may have in the future?

    It's not that the slut girls are "easy" for the boys. But that they will put out to some trashy guys. But usually its just boys negging and being mean to a girl who won't put out. Hence the importance of being verbally astute in the face of such behaviour.

    One of my female school friends clapped back hard to a sucker who called her a "slut" for turning him down. She came back with "That's, no way to talk to your stepmother, you little shit!" Not only did it crush the whelp as his father was going through a divorce. But I don't think he ever recovered from a girl claiming his wife and son beating father, was something she "preferred".

    I don't think he finished the term, not sure if he committed suicide or was moved to another school. It was a long while back. He wasn't part of my group, or in the circle of popular kids in others.
