If I had my own pool and total privacy or a partner who I were comfortable with that'd do the same, then maybe, but not in the ocean, Imagine some creatures touches that, I imagine that having some kinds of clothes on will at least make you feel more protected.

Yes, I have twice. Once by myself just to see what it would feel like. I was like 11 at the time. I was amazed at how much friction is caused by your shorts.

Yes, a few times. At a friend's wedding myself and some of the other people decided to go skinny dipping in the pool of the hotel the reception was held at. Nobody was in the pool so we figured it would be a perfect time to do it. The next day I saw why nobody was in the pool. The water was green and there was a yellow scum on the top of it. The pool had been closed for repairs.
