No it really depends on the guy. If I invite a girl over to watch a movie, it's because I genuinely want to watch it with her. If I want sex, I literally made that known that those are my intentions.

I will admit that most dudes are not like me though and most will use movie as a way to mean sex.

You just have to know what kind of guy he is.

Even for guys, not everything is about sex. I had female friends I wasn't sleeping with and didn't think of that way over for dinner and a movie all the time in my 20s without intending sex to be the outcome.

Friendship. Company. A few laughs. It's not all about sex. It's about sharing life's simple pleasures: good food with good company. Sometimes we would enjoy the conversation so much we forgot to watch the film.
