Yes, actually in both relationships I've ever had. I don't regret it at all, actually I think that's how it should work out ideally. Either there is mutual attraction, in which case there's no point in beating around the bush, or there isn't, which means that there's nothing to build on anyway.
I mean, do as you please, don't rush it if you don't feel like having sex yet of course, but don't think that you're gaining a moral high ground or something if you avoid sex on the first date. That's just silly.
I think on date it's important to understand the person first.
