See, we women are a special bunch. Back in the early to mid 20th century, saying you had E's and F's made women feel like they were too large and, at times, grotesque. D was the magically accepted size for big and sexy. So bra makers ingeniously created the DD/DDD to make those larger sizes feel and sound more appealing. But that's all it was, marketing. The cup sizes didn't change, just the label. It was so popular that, even today with larger sizes being more accepted, stores are more likely to carry DD/DDD than E/F and above. Myself, I go braless more often than not. It does strengthen the muscles a bit. At first you feel a bit of strain, but afterwards it's not so bad; unless it causes you severe back pain that is. I do have a few pairs of string bikinis, but they do get uncomfortable after a while with those thin ass straps digging in to my neck and shoulders. It's one reason I prefer nude and topless beaches. If I wear push-up bras, they'll be up in my chin
