Most strippers have a boyfriend who picks her up (and I suspect that many help themselves to her earnings).

Having known several and having been pretty good friends with a couple of former strippers, I've heard a lot of their stories - and Jerry Springer would be shocked by many of them.

No. I've hung out with some in an after party to drink because one of my friends owned the club, but never took one home. It's not so interesting to me.

Actually I'm quite the oddball but I enjoy strip clubs in a sort of non-sexual way? That might seem really strange. But I just enjoy drinking with my friends and seeing naked ladies in the background. I don't really get all frustrated when I go home. I never went with the expectation that I'd hook up with a girl in the first place.

I think for some guys the strip club offers the fantasy of something more. You can sort of see it when you see guys lining up trying to look all hard and tipping generously as though to try to impress the dancer. But I'm just like, "Whatever, shot shot shot!" :-D And if a girl comes and asks me for a dance, I'm always like, "Sorry, I'm not such a great dancer and I'd feel awkward being the only guy dancing here." I'm not a particular great customer since I never bothered with lap dances and table dances and all that and I think the girls tend to make the money most from that sort of thing. I always saw it as a waste. For me strip club is just like a regular bar with more interesting things to look at in the background while splurging on drinks. :-D
