Have you ever used a love spoon as an emergency form of contraception?

Every girl here has a love spoon, an ornately carved wooded spoon that can in times of emergency be used to scrape out unwanted seed before it has a chance to flourish. Many of these spoons have been handed down several generations.
Thankfully due to the reliability of modern contraception I rarely have to use mine and mostly use it for mixing cake batter.
