I can imagine all the stress that is unloaded on you everyday you step on campus. but if you're able to study medicine, you're a smart girl, and you'll make it through. sometimes if you can't find the motivation, just take a break, ease off, granted you are able too at the moment, and just you know relax. Unfortunately though I think in your current situation you are forced to study and work hard for the time being. well my situation, i didn't know which college I wanted to go to after high school so I just went to a CC right away because I assumed thats what everyone does (how wrong I was). my psych proff even told me, "if you don't wanna be here, then don't be here, just because your parents tell you to do it doesn't mean you should, take a year off and go travel or something." boy do I wish I took his advice then, I basically forced myself to struggle through CC classes to transfer to a 4 year...

I think it was a problem of not knowing what we wanted and also giving in to pressure from what is expected from us, especially by parents. I am only now learning that it is ok if you stray a bit from the path, if that means more personal fulfillement. I didn't think like that before. I had the chance to change to another college. To the one I wanted to go in the 1st place, but didn't get in at my 1st attempt. I ended up not going just because Id have to start from my freshman year. Looking back, it was a bad decision. I am still going to d 1 more year, but because I am repating some subjects I left behind. Just a mix of poor decisions all together. And this because I have been trying to force myself to go forward, but with a defective "engine". It's not easy, at all :/ You told me that you also had a job. What area are you working in? @BertMacklinFBI

@HookingSwan yeah.. i know our parents mean well, but this approach that parents usually always take, trying to rush us through our education so that we can get a good job ASAP and start making money sooner and save up for a house and family etc, it's not always the best approach. to each their own, every person has to find their own way in life. It makes a lot of sense when you talked about personal fulfillment, I feel you on that. Getting into the college you wanted to be in is a big motivation booster, I'm sorry you did not get your first pick. i work with a defense contractor, we provide electronics services in the manufacturing industry, commercial products as well.
