Maybe if I'm using a menstrual cup or disc (both prevent the blood from coming outside until they are removed and just collect the blood in them) then it should be fine to use the fingers or even tongue on the outside. But still, period sex is forbidden in my religion and I don't want to breach that. There are plenty of other things that can be done.
