It depends , some people like it and some doesn't.
At least you could stick with some grooming like removing armpit hair and chest if you want, more than this differes from a person to another

I don't know my boyfriend is relatively smooth but he shaves everywhere and I don't know why I think he would be just as beautiful with hair on his body. The only hair he keeps is on his lower belly and I like to play with it lol

What? No, I'm saying when a woman has an ugly son, she should kill him before puberty. Because from age 12 onward, his life will be nothing but hurt. Take him out for a few years, roller coasters, Saturday morning cartoons, sugary cereal, let him enjoy the magic of childhood, and then euthanize him before he has to go through life getting dirty looks from all the girls who see his face.

I don't think it is a bad thing to be hairy. The nice thing is that you can control it. If it bothers you, you can always trim it. I personally don't mind. Hair is super masculine to me.
