Are the males the more aggressive of the sexes in most animals? Yes. The thing that sets mankind apart from the lower animals is that God gave us a conscience. Some people just haven't learned how to use their, and EPs and others are simply attempting to frame a "plausible" explanation to "normalize" the activities. It's been going on for a long time and it will continue if not checked.

read actual science, not tabloids! the science is very clear on this one. men are not inherently psychologically conditioned to commit sexual acts of violence. a human can generally be conditioned to be that way. it can not be evolutionary, cause evolution would automatically sort out shit that is detrimental to reproduction and rape implies a male that doesn't care for the offspring, hence it's a detriment for reproduction that will never be prevalent evolutionary speaking which is "not" to say that this won't ever happen.
I agree with your statements about the evolutionary ineffectiveness of rape. My question was whether you're offended by evolutionary psychologists, like the ones I linked, who make these claims.
rape happens in nature. that doesn't mean there's a natural predisposition for rape. it's an irregularity in the human species. in other species, where a baby will survive without any further care, rape is the normal mode of procreation. not for humans.

sorry i wrote the last comment before i reloaded the page to see if you responded. i am not "offended" by psychologists that use scientifically wrong methods to substentiate ideological claims. i am appalled by that and i know that the scientific discourse - just like evolution - will sort out bullshit like that very quickly. who doesn't automatically sort those dilettantes is asinine and incompetent sources like buzzfeed/huffpost who are not concerned about scientific discourse but are focused on posting outraging stories that many people click on... cause that's how they make a living.

Rape is an intrinsic element of patriarchy. It has to do with power and control, rather than a sexual gratification.
A rapist find excitement in controlling and having the power to continue doing so. Such behavior is an antisocial characteristic that doesn't develop in matriarcal societies, where sexual violence is condemned. So, I think that we men, are predisposed to commit rape under a patriarcal society, when that patriarchy is teached and encited within the family.
When the family is a barrier for the patriarcal views, there will less likely be an rapist. From a social psychology perspective, rape rates depend on the social construct we live in. For evolutionary phychologist, it can means that our worst biological nature, can be dormat or increasing, depending on the context of our genetics, in relation to our enviorment.
What's interesting to also note is how so many women are massively turned on at being held down, choked, rough sex that simulates rape.
That's far more powerful an impulse to protect and provide.

Under normal conditions women favor winners and competition to be the winner is strong instinct in men. You don't need to rape when you're the winner because you can obtain sex without social consequences.
Of course taking women as loot or group rapes of conquered women are common in war times, but this isn't normal condition of a society.
Plenty of rich and famous people commit rape even though they would be able to get sex consensually.
So men cause something like 90% of crime so clearly they are more prone to violence. You cannot have an “opinion” on this, it is fsct. It’s not radical to say the stronger gender is more like to take advantage of the weak gender. The problem is if you think all men can’t stop themselves raping women.
