It's not that weird, it's pretty common with women who are particularly submissive and like dominance in bed.

Receiving head is not a very submissive act, the man is pretty much doing it for the woman's sake.
And that's not a very exciting idea to someone who wants the man to be in control, it can even be a turn-off depending on how strong of a preference it is.

As someone who holds a similar view and doesn't care for giving head as a result, I appreciate a partner with that preference.

I can understand that women are uncomfortable, self conscious, or turned off by it. I am sure you can find a guy who doesn't like bj. Just don't know where he is. For me it's a sex deal breaker.
