I'm in a relationship but I've had maybe 3 times sex in the last 12 months. Not because I don't want to, but because my girlfriend's sex drive is extremely low. And that is frustrating. I can talk to her about it, telling her about my frustrations, she gives in, which makes me feel like I forced her to do it, although of course it isn't like that. Then we have sex, but she doesn't seem to happy with it, it's not really satisfying for both of us as she doesn't really seem to enjoy it, and then the whole story starts again: no sex, no initiative from her side at all. I masturbate around twice a week. I would already be happy with sex once a month, so I'm the one who voted for less than once a week. To be fair, once a week would be ideal for me, but I don't see that happening again anymore... For the rest, our relationship is great, we do many fun things together and I truly love her. But our sex live is almost non-existent.

@honestyisalliwant I'm thinking of suggesting to go to a sexologist together, in order to improve the situation. Because I feel it's also affecting me personally, when I think about it I get sad, sometimes I even have to cry. It feels like I'm not worth it. Even though she praises me always for being such a good boyfriend. And it has caused sleeping problems for me as well. I think about it too much when being in bed, and I fall asleep way too late, which causes me to have problems getting up in the morning. But for going to a sexologist it takes two people who want to take the initiative and work on it. It doesn't make any sense to spend time and money on a sexologist if she doesn't see the problem and doesn't want to go. Until now, I haven't suggested it... going to a sexologist is more or less my last resort. And as said, with everything else I'm very happy with her, we're together for 11 years. Just our sex live... it's practically non-existing nowadays. It wasn't always like that, even though she has never been very sexual. But in the first couple of years of our relationship we had sex on a regular basis. The last three, four years, it hasn't been much, and it's getting less and less. Currently I haven't had sex for more than half a year. We sleep together every night, in the same bed, she sleeps completely naked, but she's just not interested in anything sexually. It's so frustrating.

Whenever I feel up for it. It's more about feeling confident and in control than it is regular frequency. If you've had a terrible day at work, you're unlikely to have a healthy ego when you get home, so you probably aren't going to be feeling that aroused.
