Our parents left for a long weekend Thursday night to have alone time. Friday morning I left to hang out with some friends and I thought I would not be home for dinner so that is what I told my brother.

My plans fell through and I headed home around 3:30 pm. I get home and yell up to my brother but no answer. So I go up to his room and the door is wide open. He was laying in bed (which faced away from the door so he didn't see me), he had porn up on the tv in front of his bed. I was about to leave and let him finish but then I noticed what he was wearing.

He was wearing one of my fuzzy Onesies and a pair of my Ugg boots. He was also jerking himself off over the fabric of the Onesie. I just stood there not knowing what to do. I decided to just go back downstairs and checked my room on the way.

I found that the clothes he was wearing were laying on the floor and on my bed he had gotten out most of the soft/fuzzy fabric clothing I own and laid it on the bed. It also looked like he was in my bed because I had made it before I left and as it turned out the sheet and blankets I had on were also these fuzzy fleece ones.

I went downstairs and decided to go back out shopping for two hours and then picked up some pizzas for our dinner. I went to my room and there he was there wearing a fleece jacket while putting on a pair of Sherpa lined sweat pants. He then noticed me. I didn't want it to be too awkward so I quickly said "I know my clothes are warmer but please ask before you borrow them" and then to come down for dinner.

I let him wear the stuff that night and didn't bring it up. But I am just feeling like I need to talk to him about it. I am not sure if it's cross-dressing or some other fetish since I did some research and it seems like soft fabric is a semi-common fetish.

Should I talk to him? I am not mad if he does have the fetish then I’ll buy him some stuff for Christmas if he wants but I just want to know.

I will just start out saying that you are an amazing sister for being so understanding. Based on what you said I don't think he is into the cross-dressing by itself. I think you are right and he has a fetish for soft fabrics. I have had the same fetish since middle school. It is much more common than people would think and the people in the community tend to just call it a fleece fetish. Talking with other people who have it the most common reasons tend to be because we would see most girls wearing the stuff. Also experimenting when young we discover that masturbating with it feels really good. It is also not only a guy thing I have met some women who have it also.

So moving on to what you should do about it. I think you should talk to him, tell him you know and be super understanding and just make sure that it is the fetish and not something else. First how old is your brother, this makes a difference. If he is young, he may just be experimenting with his early sexual feelings.

Secondly, I tried hard not to laugh when I read this. I know its not funny to you, but... it seems seriously odd to me. It's probably not normal behavior, but as I said in the first part it could just be sexual experimentation and confusion of a younger boy.

So far I think you did pretty well with the things you said. However, I would not encourage that behavior by buying him things to reinforce it. His sexuality is his business, but your right to have your things respected is your business.

I think what you do next should depend on whether or not he respects your request not to wear your things without asking. You have a right not to have your clothes taken and masturbated on, nor your bed used for this purpose. If he disrespects your request, you need to talk to him and tell him that isn't acceptable.

In this day and age, be it he is cross dressing or it’s a fetish, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with either of those things!

I’m glad that you did not make him feel bad about it or embarrass him that was so great of you and the best thing to do. Because now yes you could absolutely approach him and talk about it.

But only if you will continue to accept him for either of those things and not make him feel that they are wrong or that he is in any way doing the wrong thing or there is something wrong with him. He can then ask you questions he may have and can come to you later in life. And yes later in life when he feels comfortable you and he can approach your parents together as he will have you to help him to be there when telling them if it is the latter that he is cross dressing. But if it’s just a fetish then they do not need to know it’s his business.
