I ended up sleeping with my best friend's ex boyfriend?

Well I posted a question a few days ago about having feelings for my friends then boyfriend. Since then he broke up with her and admitted feelings for me. He spoke with her and told her he had feelings for someone else, but left me out of it so far.
Well today we had school together and group after so I saw him all day. We ended up going over to his house while his parents went to work. Needless to say one thing led to another and we ended up having sex for the first time. It was amazing and sorta everything I had hoped it to be. But I still don't know how to tell my best friend... and I feel like shitty person because of this

Having to go through the remainder of your friendship and keeping it a secret would really suck, and you would eventually realize that it will come to a bad end, sooner or later. And the longer you keep it a secret, the more dubious you will appear to her.

What's done is done. I think this is just one of those mistakes that you can't fix, you can only make it worse. It's basically a shitty life lesson. So how you handle this going forward will be key. You need to fess up and be honest and truthful with her (and him too) about it. It's your only opportunity to try to start healing the damage. Regardless of the outcome, it's the only way forward that can have any positive outcomes.

One other option is that you just just move far away with or without him, ghost everyone else and start over.

Expect he will go back to his ex and leave you even more fucked up in the head but at least your first experience with him was a good one maybe your friend won't be to upset with you about it like how long have they been broken up. she would of told you what she was hoping for with him and all the nitty gritty little things they did and he did that you thought he was so sweet for and so had to jump his bones next. but never mind he will likely root every girl in the group and a dozen more before end of year

The way I see it is that you didn't do anything to harm their relationship, so when it ended you were free to do as you wished. If you actively tried to sabotage their relationship to get him, then I would say you are a bad friend, but not because you slept with him, but because you tried to destroy your friend's relationship.

@Twalli he takes meds so he's not always having episodes. He's pretty under control. And she typically when he's upset just thinks he's being moody. She doesn't really notice why he acts like that sometimes.

They've been together a little over 2 years. I started liking him maybe a few months after they started dating when I saw him in a grouo therapy we both do for being suicidal. Both for different reasons. And we ended up talking everyday and it just became more then him being a friend. I never actually meant for this to happen.

So, you guys basically bonded through trauma, which in turn makes you feel connected to this boy in a very different way... that most people won't understand. But, I personally know exactly where you are coming from. This is a tough one and it's not going to be easy no matter which route you take unfortunarely.

I was once in a very similar position when it came to my feelings. I was suicidal. Unfortunately no one got me help when I needed it. So, in turn, I thought no one loved me. I mean, what other reason it could it possibly be? After all, my cut up arms and crys for help were on display. So I thought no one cared and I flung myself at anyone who made me feel like they understood. Because I needed to feel that closeness.

I forget the younger generation takes things so literally. I should know this. I mean, my 17 year old sister is the same way. Ugh, alright. So what I meant, is that you "throw yourself" at him, not in a physical sense but what can be described as a "soulful" sense. You're connected through trauma, meaning you have connected with him on a much deeper level. It means you care for him more than you care for the regular person. In conclusion, you probably care about him more than your friend ever would.

Then you need to make a tough choice here. And unfortunately, you have to ask yourself a really tough question. Is your love for this boy strong enough to MAYBE ruin your friendship? She might not understand or forgive you. But I will tell you this. I have been dating my best friends ex for the past 3 wonderful years. My situation is different than yours, only because my friend encouraged me to date him. I almost said no, because I thought I was disrespecting her and that she would hate me. But eventually, I gave in and he's the best damn thing that walked into my life. If this boy makes you happy, take the leap. If she doesn't forgive you, cry about it and comment on this post. We will talk it out.
