Besides the latter society, it is also an official journal for the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health."

It says right in the conclusion, "The present data based on ultrasonographic bladder monitoring and biochemical analyses indicate that squirting is essentially the involuntary emission of urine during sexual activity, although a marginal contribution of prostatic secretions to the emitted fluid often exists."

As a medical professional myself, and as a sex educator, I can assure you that the vagina is not capable of outputting fluid in that manner. It's not physically possible. The vagina secrets lubrication, but is unable to project it or produce it in such sudden volume as would be required to squirt. It's just not anatomically possible.

Interesting article, and I liked the take they had, they had a purpose for why they were writing and they didn't hide it - they care about the stigma women who squirt face and wanted to help break that down. It's a good article. The article links to the study that I referenced, as well as another study done right around the same time:

Which contends that there is a fluid produced by the "female prostate", which is different than urine, and can be ejaculated, but is often ejaculated with urine, or simply urine could be ejaculated instead. It talks about how sometimes squirting is just pee, but that in the urine of women who don't squirt, there was a different chemical make up before/after an orgasm, which is a huge and important thing. It shows not just that a separate liquid can be produced, but where it comes from. That's the big piece.

Urine is part of squirting, sometimes it is the squirting, but there is also a different fluid which is/can be expelled, which is separate from urine.

The article you link, I think, uses these studies and tries too hard to force the line and say 'squirting is not pee, it's never pee, it's totally different!" which this peer reviewed and published study isn't saying, nor did any of the reliable sources they used say that way. They say that there can be pee, and sometimes it is pee, but often it's something else, and here's what that something else is.
