Look, we all know intelligent, thoughtful articles don't go viral. At least, it's exceedingly rare and it would need to have some hot angle, like it would have to be extremely controversial somehow.

For the most part, things that go viral are... well, stupid. It's a GIF of a pet doing something silly, another piece of celebrity junk, or whatever. It was always a little depressing but should we start being legitimately scared when a guy masturbating to a McChicken trends heavy on Twitter and Facebook?
