fuck all you "do gooders" who rave about the rights of the unborn but refuse to support legislation to help single moms who get abandoned by dead beat dads, and say "there's always adoption". And what about kids with genetic defects like Tay-Sachs? Do you even know what that is?

I agree. People love to talk about the unborn rights but what about his rights to be happy when born... People are overly obsessed with the idea of living in itself. Though, sometimes life is the worst thing that can happen to someone.

I selected "No" but it may be because your question is a bit ambiguous. I wouldn't be okay with this because I think it should be legal in far more cases than only rape.

Abortion is killing a human life. That can be justified in some instances such as rape and health issues for the mother, and maybe some other circumstances. But most cases are not justifiable.

I voted no, because, as a pro-life person, I think the health of the mother also matters. If her health is in serious jeopardy (outside of the normal risks of pregnancy), abortion should be an option.
In medical triage, you can not save all patients, so you save the ones you can. That is why I do not see it as hypocritical that the woman's health should be a considered factor in abortion.
As for rape, I'd rather that wasn't ground for abortion. I'm much rather that things like the morning after pill was given investments and subsidies, so that instead of costing 45 dollars a pill, it cost 50 cents a pill. That way, if a woman were raped, she wouldn't have to go through with later finding out she was pregnant, and dealing with the highly invasive and disturbing process of an abortion, and could instead merely keep the pregnancy from even really starting, with a pill.

I think abortion should be a legal option for rape, incest and when the mother's healthy or life are at risk. I do not think it should be just another birth control option, which is how it is used today.

Of course it is. The vast majority of abortions are performed as a matter of convenience because the mother does not want a child, which is the very definition of birth control.

Functioning brain?
Opinion Owner

What do you mean by 'functioning'? It is certainly alive. Would you say an adult in a coma has a functioning brain? It would be murder under any set of laws to kill an adult while in a coma.
In fact, per the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, it is legally considered murder if an unborn child dies as a result of harm inflicted on the mother. See below. In other words, an unborn child is legally recognized as a human life and his/her life is protected under the law, EXCEPT when the mother herself decides to kill her own child.

As I said earlier, there are justifiable reasons for abortion, but the convenience of the mother isn't one of them.
Adult in coma? This doesn't mean anything. Brain death or not? If so, dead.
Did that really go completely over your heard? lol
I think abortion should be legal until about 4 months, then only available for health reasons after. Rape doesn't really impact that, unfortunately.
Nah keep that rape baby. Thats what they did in the old days
