Sexual Health My homegirl is flipping out because her daughter bought lingerie for herself.
Yes she does have a boyfriend but because she was sexually abused in her past and still hasn’t gotten over it, she says she isn’t having sex.
Her mom just doesn’t believe her.
I mean, I don’t think this is a big deal but I’m not a mom so I don't know.
And yes the daughter still lives with her mom and is going to college a two months.

On the one hand, good for her for healing and moving past the trauma that happened to her.
But on the other hand, I do worry and I hope she is going about this carefully so as not to get hurt a second time. I think maybe her mom feels the same way.
19 means she’s an adult

At that point she can buy whatever she wants.
Why not it might make her feel good. It usually works with my daughters,,..
I believe when a girl hits a certain age, "little girl panties" aren't what they want to wear. I think it's a natural in a girl's maturation process.

At that age it is about experiencing different stuff in life. So I won't say she is yet independent at that age completely.
By she can have her own lingerie and the mom can guide her about her life, before she goes for that relationship full of sex.
