At the age of 23 a female should be in her reproductive prime.
On an instinctive level, a 37-year-old man will want to mate with her rather than a female of his own age. In reproductive terms, for a female of 37 the party is over. Effort and resources invested in spreading his seed to a female of his own age would be wasted.

I'd say yeah. Of course. You could go as old as you want, and I'm sure they'd still be attracted to someone that age.
