Sexual Health Is it racist when a White person uses Spanish when confronting a latino?

We were hanging out with a group of friends, This White American guy and I were getting into an argument at college because he was saying that a man should never hit a woman and I disagreed. This is what I said "In most situations a man does not need to hit a women, since on average men are stronger they can just hold her until she calms down. But if there's a situation where the girl is physically stronger than you, or if she is a threat like a weapon or a gun, or if there's a burglar in your house and its a woman, I do think hitting a woman in those situations are justified" He then said "how much of a pussy are you to hit a woman, even in those situations you never hit a women, ever, like never. If you can't handle a girl with a knife or a gun then you are a fucking beta male bitch" and then wanted me to apologize to the women in the room. I refused because I stand by my opinion. He started saying in broken Spanish "Listen here AMIGO, why don't you use that CABEZA of yours and actually do what I say until a BIG PROBLEMO hits you, COMPRENDO AMIGO?" Is that racist? I'm Latino PS. He tried to hit me but I dodge it and punched him in the face and he fell. He tried to get up and his friends held him back. Then I said out loud "You know what guys, I was wrong to hit him, since I'm stronger then him I could have just held him till he calmed down" he got angrier and tried to break free. I had to pee so I left and went home.

To those who are going to say "there are white latinos also" Yes I understand some latinos are white but I'm not going to write "Non-Latino white person every time I talk about a White person who isn't latino. Besides most latinos are mixed.

I have several responses for this. Race has more than one definition. Definition 1 -Group of people sharing physical characteristic phenotype. Definition 2 - Group of people connected by culture, language and religion. Definition 3 - Group of people sharing a same blood line. Descendant of a important figure. Jews for example who claims to be descendants of Abraham. So racism technically could cover that. My other response is intent. If his intention is againts latinos and his racism includes their appearance like the brown or tan latinos, those latino race will most likely include mestizo, mullato, tri-racial latinos. Mockery of a language depends on the intent. SO someone using a language for mockery could be racist but it also can't it depends.
