Normal. People think only women's fertility fall down as they age, but men's does too. Of all couples having trouble conceiving a baby 40%, aka almost half, is the man's fault. Just because you produce sperm doesn't mean you are fertile.

Biology and statistics show that it is actually the opposite of what you claim. Sperm doesn't matter until after the man is over 55. Middle age and older eggs do have problems after age 35. It is because they already had the eggs and they actually age, unlike the sperm. The man's reproductive system aging is what eventually leads to problems, but it takes longer. That is why a woman could freeze her eggs when she is in her early 20s and then have them inseminated later on and have a healthy kid easily, it is just expensive.

No. Everybody’s body and genetics are different. This is the polar opposite incorrect information people like the spread in here to older woman’s eggs becoming ‘aged’ or ‘no longer viable’. This isn’t the case with all woman either. Woman in my family all start menstruating late and in turn menopause late. Also surprise pregnancies later in life. Thank goodness was we are all different.

Well a 25 year-old guy is generally going to have a higher sperm count than a 40 year-old. Theoretically that should improve your odds of conceiving but I’m not sure how you’d even calculate those odds. Just keep him busy trying. If he’s not pulling out, nature should take it’s course.

It could be true because as men age sperm quality and volume decreases also, but it depends on whether she’s even fertile at all.

For whatever it’s worth I’m pretty sure I’m fertile as I have regular periods, but I’m going to see my doctor just in case
