Is it weird that I want to wait until I move out of my parents house before I buy sex toys and condoms?

I am not sexually active (yet), but I think you need to have condoms just in case. I really want to get a vibrator but I would be mortified if my parents found it. Most of my friends who live with their parents have sex toys and condoms at home, but I don't feel comfortable with that even though my parents have a very open mindset when it comes to sex.
Is this weird?

Edit: i forgot to include lube. And yes my parents are open minded but not when it comes to me or my brother. We are still their babies.

  • Nah it’s not weird. Fairly normal I would imagine. Some families are more open some are not.

    just remember when you stay over do not do like my mate did, she went back from university and dropped her bag off at her mum n dads,

  • Nope, not at all. If you need them now, have it shipped to a friends house who can get that kind of stuff at their house. You said you don't want to have them in the house but if you change your mind, put them in least obvious place that a parent would look and you should be fine.

  • Unless you have parents who do not respect your privacy and go through your personal belongings when you are not home, then you shouldn't have to worry about having a sex toy. There isn't any wrong with that at your age. Just keep it in your underwear drawer or someplace like that and lock your door when you are using your toy. I doubt your mother would say anything, even if she saw the toy, and I am sure your father wouldn't want to be caught going through your underwear. 😅
