  • This shit again...

  • Maybe...

  • I think this is a very good question. Sex and gender are not the same, but they are not too different as well.

  • Yes, it's the same thing. And what you're born as is what you are no matter. There's no changing it.

  • yes it is

  • No, sex is biology. Gender is identity.

  • biologically speaking. yes

    • Actually biologically they are not.

  • The word sex is more close to practice and intimate contact. As for gender, it expresses the gender of a person, for example, in a passport or personal identity

  • No. Biology deals with sex, not with gender.

  • The thing is y'all will say it isn't but you can't define gender.

If a masculine woman identifies as a woman you won't say she has a male brain.

  • yeah

    • Why do you think that?

    • cause it is

    • According to who?

  • From dictionary. comWhat does the word sex mean?

First, let’s talk about sex. Intercourse aside for these purposes, sex is “a label assigned at birth based on the reproductive organs you’re born with.” It’s generally how we divide society into two groups, male and female—though intersex people are born with both male and female reproductive organs. (Important note: Hermaphrodite is a term that some find offensive.)What does gender mean?

Gender, on the other hand, goes beyond one’s reproductive organs and includes a person’s perception, understanding, and experience of themselves and roles in society. It’s their inner sense about who they’re meant to be and how they want to interact with the world.

  • Absolutely yes.

    • Why do you think that?

    • They've literally same things

    • You already said that but why do you think that? What did you base that opinion on?

  • Sex is male/female. Gender refers to the grammar you use to refer to someone of a particular sex. Everyone uses the word gender incorrectly. What is your gender? is incorrect.

  • They were the same until the term "gender" was hijacked by nutters.

  • Sex is biological, gender is social or psychological

  • Mostly. There are two sexes and four genders. Male and female are both; whereas asexual and hermaphrodite are only genders.

    • Being asexual is a sexual orientation, and being a hermaphrodite is a chromosomal abnormality.

    • No, being asexual is not having male or female organs. Hermaphrodites are not a chromosomal anomaly; it is common in several species, particularly worms.

    • Okay well obviously I am talking about people not worms lol

  • It used to be, but not any more. Especially since the goal post has been changed by the gender identity movement. Of course sex still remains binary as it is based on biology where as gender is no longer binary due to social political evolution.

  • No gender just means what sex anyone is.

    • Why do you think that?

    • Because no one is having sex.

    • Lol speak for your self. But biologically they are not the same.
