It depends on a lot of things. Generally women are more at ease with being naked around each other, while many men avoid that. But with all the men's sports, the guys usually change and shower together so they are okay with it.
Lots of young people easily participate in skinny dipping with both sexes. They have almost not problems with that.
There are Naked Bike Rides all over the world, and many participate, and many come to watch. Where I live, many thousands participate in each of the rides and there are huge crowds watching. Many of the women watchers flash their boobs to the riders, but that is ridiculous. When riding with thousands of naked people, who cares about a woman flashing her boobs?
There are nude beaches and resorts all over here.
I think most people in those situations are completely comfortable with nudity of both sexes, even if they are uncomfortable with just their own sex.

I see it as more of just the differences between men and women (what they personally are "ok" with), vs society. I would agree with that statement in general. And with men, it depends on the circumstances also. Like a change room and public shower type thing, no problem, however unlike some women, we won't look at each others bodies and/or make comments to each other lol. In that way, women are more "comfortable" with each other I think. Guys, if we are naked together, don't look, don't talk lol.

It's sad in a lot of ways; I have saved on my computer a link to a collection of old photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries of men photographed together, taken as keepsakes and signs of their love and affection for each other. Were they gay? Some of them, probably, but not most. The idea that society is unidirectionally growing more free and accepting with the passage of time is untrue.
There's a song (a famous version was recorded by the Irish Rovers) called "Lilly the Pink", about a patent medicine with many miraculous properties. It's amusing and silly, and a bowdlerizing of an earlier song, titled "Four for three", about an ACTUAL patent medicine that boasted many miraculous properties. It's far bawdier, and there are records of German soldiers from the first world war being surprised at how ribald American POWs were. Those POWs would probably be surprised at how censoc-happy their children became.

id say 95% of the guys were naked but prob only 60% of the women
I think culture and upbringing, socialising etc had a lot to do with it.
most guys I know have zero problems with getting naked.

So I think what you are seeing is the difference in activity together in nudity. Guys love being nude and will jump on the opportunities but they get grossed out swing another guy and so they just have to prepare themselves and so going in to a mens locker room is traumatic for someone who isn’t prepared while guys love getting naked and teasing one another about nakedness when they are all used to it and used to each other. then in contrast girls due to the circumstances of mother daughter interacting friends interacting all in whatever situation and then add the LGBTQ factor in society you find that girls will stop down together for no reason.
At least in my household the Guys (Father and older brother) are the ones almost permanently naked inside.

I get what you are saying and maybe there is some truth to this, but really is dependent on circumstances. Growing up in a rugby playing environment, around a lot of male nudity, made it so common I wouldn't bat an eyelid now!
