No, men do not need sex. It's a bunch of garbage that men need sex. That they have to have sex to be happy, or to be healthy, etc. Men do want sex, and that is normal. They may want sex a lot, which again, is normal. I do believe that men often have a stronger sex drive than do most women. However, what stirs men's sex drives to feel like we NEED sex, is our cultural norms, which are saturated with sex. A guy can be very healthy, happy, and feeling great, even without having sex, if he chooses to.
No one NEEDS sex, but men are driven to get it far more than women are. I would say men need sex to be happy more than women do.

Women are not wired to be fixated on sex. For us it’s not the motivation for EVERYTHING we do. We don’t go to the gym to look better so men will have sex with us. We don’t get a new hairstyle so men will have sex with us. We don’t buy expensive cars to men will have sex with us. So it’s NOT the same here!!

Why do you think men do all these things only for sex
They do it to “land women”.
You can't consider all men I go to gym for my better fitness I like new hairstyle to look good not only for woman I want to buy expensive car for myself
The norm is for men to do it for women so you may be the exception and not the rule here
