A female friend was drunkenly flirting with me in front of my girlfriend and I told her to stop. My girlfriend saw us and asked me what was going on. I told her that I loved her and that the friend was wrong to flirt with me. My girlfriend said that if I ever cheated on her, she would cut off my penis. Naturally, I assumed it was some kind of joke, so I laughed it off, but she didn't laugh. So then I said, "no way you could do that". She said, "I'll do it in your sleep". Again she's still not laughing. So I laughed again and was like, "whatever", but she just kind of turned her head a little and gave me a "I'm not playing" look. She has not apologized to me for this nor did she say she was joking. What do I do now? I feel scared.

A genuine threat to mutilate him isn't an acceptible way of doing it. Would it be alright if he threatened to mutilate her vagina with a knife if she cheated? Doesn't that change things?
