Too much pubic hair?

Oops! I don't know if I can ask it here but...
I'm planning to get physical in my relationship but being very natural, I've a lot of hair in mu pubes, I don't trim or shave. Will this be a problem?

  • It depends on you and your partner.

If you are self conscious through... media or adult videos... or whatever the norms are then... I don't know what to say really because there are multiple views on this.

One is the health view point and that pubic hair is to help reduce skin to skin contain thus in turns helps reduce risk of STDs. Of course this is when not using protection such as condoms.

Then there is the embrace your natural beauty or something like that. This is an old mentality.

The modern take on this is trimmed or shaved because it is more visually appealing and stimulating. and better oral experience. Problems with this is that if done improperly or actually even if it is properly public hard helps reduce genital friction or sweat. So... caution on going bare. if you have thick hair... it can poke and prod and cause discomfort both in wearing cloths and in sex.

So all in all pubes are biologically great, its reduces friction and reduces STDs. Although not as appealing visually, there is some maintenance to be done while bare. or cause problems such as skin rash and discomfort.

I say talk to your partner about how you feel about your body. Research and test what works for you. I don't know everything. And not all of the details. So do your research and test things out till you find something that works for you.

  • If he's like any other man is his middle 20's (based on your stated age), he just wants to "get there" and won't be overly concerned by what he sees once he's there. If he as an issue, it will be brought up afterwards.

As for me, I can remember back to the time when only strippers and a handful for porn actresses shaved. I say, keep your razor (if you own one) in the drawer.

    • Mwah! This is really re-assuring!

    • Thank you, but keep in mind that I'm 60 years old and date back to an era when women, for the most part, didn't trim, much less shave. I never saw a shaved woman until I was in my late 30's, but guys who you are likely to date will likely have different expectations. Regardless, if you don't want to shave then don't do it.

    • There is a reason why old is gold!

  • I’m sure your partner will find the way through the jungle... If you have never got in to trimming and shaving then it best not to do it now for the first time as you may end up a little sore and uncomfortable. You can always explore new styles going forward.

    • Thanks a lot!

    • Have a wonderful and enjoyable time

    • Scared!

  • It's up to you to shave, trim or not. I won't believe that a guy, once you are intimate, will stop and break with you, only cause your not shaved.

  • Yes. Sometimes all that hair can get suck and pull on the girl. For us guys it's kind of a drag to go down on a harry girl. Yuck I get pubs in my teeth and the hair can trap odors. I've had a lot of girls say shaving increases their sensitivity to touch and it increases their pleasure. I'd way rather have a girl shave.

  • NO it will be a problem and it is silly to think it would. First of all as you said it is natural. There is so much bs with guys saying that they wouldn't touch a girl with a bush. Nobody has ever confirmed one instance where a guy walked away from a girl because she kept her pubes, it's all just porn hype.

    • Thanks a lot!

  • I think yes, first impression is important, personally I like trimmed medium length pubes, and I think for your first time you should get yourself a visit to those places to Trim some hair and wax the hair around your thighs.

You’ll notice that you’ll feel better down there because the hair was scratched your skin before

    • Thanks!

  • Some guys don't mind. Some say they prefer shaved or trimmed but I think that when it comes down to it, they'd take whatever 😽 they can get. 😂

  • There is no such thing as too much pubic hair. But my opinion is not the majority opinion.

  • Some guy despise the black forest being down there. I, for instance, can't take a partner that doesn't take care of herself.
Some go crazy over the bush.
I guess that you'll have to try and see his reactions, then react accordingly.

  • I am personally a fan of an hairy pussy and I don't really care. I would find my way out from it and reach my destination irrespective of how hairy she is.
If you expect oral sex then it's better to give a nice trim because all guys are different and have different preferences

    • Just want to know something and hence asking are you reluctant to shave it or trim it, do you like it all natural?

    • I like it natural and don't shave it! I hate the stubble bite!

    • Then it's fine, if you want oral sex before the actual sex then what you can do is just trim around your vulva as close as possible and all the rest of the hair above your clitoral hood leve it intact.

  • Yes, but only if you want oral sex otherwise it's rather sexy.

  • Yes you may ask here. I have never heard of having too much pubic hair, and a physical is not interfered with by a lot of pubic hair. by the way, you are a woman after my own heart, as I love pubic hair, and it is not possible, in my opinion to have too much hair around, on, all over your pussy. I would like to have my computer room, filled to the ceiling with clean, soft pubic hair, so I could dive around in it.

Seriously, pubic hair is not a problem for an examining doctor.

    • Thanks! What I meant by physical is to actually have sex!

    • I misread the question LOL DUH - sorry I personally love pubic hair, the more hair the sooner I dive in to it. The thicker and denser the better. Then they hunt for things,

    • Love it!

  • some guys will be reluctant to eat you out. But he’ll still fuck you and get you off with his finger though.

    • Oh! Thanks!

    • Welcome 😊

    • I agree. I am bisexual, and a full bush down there is a real turn-off for me. Some Japanese women still do not shave or trim down there with Asians, it becomes a real impenetrable jungle. 😆 I have a few close friends who used to be like this, but I got them to try going bald and they see the advantages. 🤣

  • It depends on the guy some guys like the natural look and some like it trimed it just depends

  • How about this: Ask him.

You are in a relationship. You should be able to talk about such things. Tell him you aren't sure what he is expecting and go from there.

  • I kinda like pubic hair and would like to play with it a bit. Soooo, i guess you should ask him directly what is his preference, rather than just speculating.
Some people might find it a good play thing and he trimming you/seeing you cut/wax it etc could be quite erotic for him.

So, just ask what he prefers and do that I'd say

  • Well, I prefer bald, trimmed, or landing strip, etc. rather than a thatch patch.
But I'm sure there are guys who would welcome the challenge!

  • It all depends on the guy.
My first wife had so much pubic hair that whenever she wore a bikini hair was always sticking out.
My wife now prefers to shave.

  • It depends, it shouldn't be. Some guys don't care for it, but lets face it, they should be lucky they are getting it :)

  • If it's only sex, pubic won't matter but if he goes down than its better to have a trim or shave.

So just shave and be ready for every possibility of being eaten out by him.

  • Hmm, I generally don't mind a bush personally, as long as it's trimmed and well washed. But it is possible to be too much.

    • It's even shampooed, but I guess it would be better to trim it!

    • I think trimming the edges and keeping it short is probably best. Razor burn, and regrowing stubble is way worse in my opinion.

    • I guess. you guys know better!

  • I am curious about what did you decide on this

  • Probably not, but a trimmed bush is better than a hairy one.
