What are some reasons for grown men / women to be virgins?

Well, when I was 11, I took a pledge to wait until marriage and save my body for my wife. So that was and still is the main reason.

When I was 13, I wanted to start dating. I knew what sex was but wasn't interested in having sex. I just wanted to go on dates and/or have a girlfriend.

I got rejected 3 times between the ages of 13 and 15. Therefore, the girlfriend plan didn't work out. I stopped trying after that.

I fell in love and ALMOST asked a girl out when I was 21. But I was weird about it because I was still afraid of getting rejected so I never ACTUALLY asked her out. ... So that went nowhere, obviously.

I tried pretty much all of the online dating sites. Never had any luck, though. Either I wasn't interested in them or they weren't interested in me. Except that one girl when I was 25. We both liked each other, but she wanted to have sex with me, so I had to turn her down.

There have been several occasions where there have been crushes. But nothing ever comes of that. Because they're usually friends, and I don't want to say anything that would potentially make things awkward and destroy the friendship (and/or the "vibe" of our friend group.)

So yeah- that's why I'm still single.

As a friend with many devout Christians, they would definitely be holding because of Jesus.

i myself am an atheist that married a muslim. she was a virgin until we married and she was 31.

considering in some cities near me i see kids, literally kids, pushing their own babies in strollers, waiting until the 30s is definitely not a bad trait.

There was a woman who went to the church i used to go to with my friends. she was in her mid 30s, she knew her time for starting a family was nearing an end, and yet she still held out for a Christian husband, its quite commendable really.

I haven't found a boyfriend yet. I don't do hookups, I want to do it with a boyfriend that I love. My life isn't very social sadly. I don't get to meet people so I haven't found anyone at age 22. I'm not the one to wait for marriage but I definitely want a relationship first.
