Most of the time im in my own world, a massive 15 year imaginary world with its own origin story, conflicts, wars and love.

Legitimately when a completely made up character died in battle it hurt as if i had lost a loved one.

This that normal? Probably not but the universe inside my head is a constant thing on my mind, almost always exploring the vast universe and rich lore and several characters thay came and go over time

Well I usually think about my classes cuz these are what I'm busy for most of my day but i can't say any specific thing like "consequences of Cauchy's integral formula". It's about what I'm studying at that moment. I mean I think about the Green's theorem when I study analysis and think about the Laplace transform (or something like that) when I study differantial equations

yep. but we call it analysis (there are 2 types of it , analysis1 and analysis2)😅 computer programming abstract algebra differential equations topology number theory

In the US standard education, Analysis 1 is about constructing real number system from ZFC, defining two basic limit processes (differential and integral) on the real line, then connect them through the fundamental theorems of calculus. 😂 😂😂 I... dont know what to say The `best` engineering students I know can deal with basic topics in linear algebra and real analysis pretty well (from matrix decomposition to Hilbert space and functions on compact sets etc) 😂 it's kinda related to their fields (for example signal processing or optimization).

our professor asked us to research any application of linear algebra we chose last year and it made me realize how important linear algebra is for electrical engineering. I love to see how linear algebra, numerical analysis, differential equations are applied. I'll choose 5 elective courses next year, one of them will be definitely the applied math😂

Aww let me flex my complex analysis understanding: First, define path integral using differential form (e. g f dx + g dy + h fz is a 1 form), then integrate on a region that can be partitioned into boxes, the interior edges of the boxes cancel out -> we have the integral around boundary: boundary integral of 1 form = interior integral of 2 form (Stokes theorem, generally k form to k+1 form). Apply to complex plane, we have Cauchy's theorem: boundary integral of complex differentiable/holomorphic function is 0. Apply to region with a pole (say 1/x) we have [integral on a closed loop around origin of 1/x ] = 2pi i -> for any holomorphic f: [integral on a closed loop around origin of f/(x-p)] = 2pi i f (p) (Cauchy integral formula) -> holomorphic functions can be written as power series at every point: just expand 1/(x-p) into power series -> all derivatives of f are equal to some contour integrals -> the only integral you need to explicitly calculate in complex analysis is the contour integral of (1/x) = 2pi i above 😱 (they are converted to derivatives) Rewrite the integral in Cauchy integral formula into polar coordinate you can find that f (x) is the average value on any circle around x -> apply to local max of f you have the maximum principle: if f has local max, it's constant 😱 -> if polynomial f has no zero look at 1/f: due to highest order term 1/f attains local max -> 1/f is constant -> every nonconstant polynomial has a root (fundamental theorem of algebra) complex analysis is kinda like a hack to bypass difficult math lol
