if i had to guess why women women post provocative pictures on social media, i think its type of mating display, i think they trying to convince men that they're desirable mating choice , i think they do it to compete with other women and i think they do it for attention for a positive self-esteem boost.
Maybe for the reasons you listed.. Or maybe they are just proud of their looks.
If its a woman who is into fitness and eating well, it may be part to promote her lifestyle.. Same reason why a body builder would post pics showing off his muscles.

Both are annoying. I am in MMA and am proud of my physique but I do not feel the need to show it off like they do. It is pointless. Just makes them look like morons and narcissistic.

Well, its up to them what they want to do with their bodies. No one should judge people too harshly, i hate it when men throw around the words slut or whore, when in actual fact, its just human bodies... clearly those men have never seen a naked woman in real life before, or they're just sexually frustrated and not getting enough pussy... Some women will post something to the masses with the intent of gaining one guys attention ( just dm the guy) It will truly make him think less of you (difference between momma ready and sister friendly) 3. Some will post because they are getting over a break up and it’s a revenge plot to maybe/maybe not get the attention of their ex. 4. Some are getting over a breakup and letting the world know she’s ready for a new chapter

I think the competitive idea is a fair take. If she's not making money, seeking to make money or using her appearance to boost something else. Like she's an attractive singer, musician, artist of some kind. Then she's either in the sugar baby camp or the girl that's just getting social validation, which would be the competitive side you're talking about.

I don't call liposuccion every 6 months a sports. Plus her son now has absolutely no respect for her.
