What's your experience on Tinder, POF, or any other known hookup site?

I was wanting some insight from men and women who have used these platforms. I just want to know what your general experience was. Was it positive or negative. Was it fun? Is it easy to meet people who have the same intentions you have?

Most girls on Tinder, at least above 25yo are looking for a serious relationship. It's not really a hook-up platform anymore.

I'm just out of a relationship that lasted over 3 years so I decided to give it a try to find a friend with benefits since I'm not yet ready to be seriously involved.

I think I'm fairly good looking for my age, I've been using it for 2 weeks and I have 0 match. (I specify in the description I don't want engagement for now).

It's a bit of a let down.

I met my current girlfriend on Tinder and its not just a hookup 😉 I still like Tinder. You will probably meet some terrible people on there, but from time to time there are some very nice as well.

I went on pof and it was a complete waste of time. Too many idiot guys spoiling it for the decent ones. Im guessing girls on there assume they're all sex addicts wanting sex only. Apparently girls get harrassed and guys get 0 responses (except from fake profiles made in African by people being forced to pretend to be women and scrounging money of off guys in the name of love).
I gave up and only meet women in real life.

I never had success on Tinder. I did troll on POF for a while when I heard a friend of mine was using it.
It seems like murky waters, I met a lot of individuals who seemed like they had been through a few relationships, maybe a few divorces, couple rejects and people just looking to hookup after a broken relationship. Plenty of people who were very exhausted from the whole relationship game. Plenty of people who seem like they peaked in high school.

Not my thing but hey, I know 2 lovely individuals who are marrying the person they met on tinder. So it has it's moments, I guess.

Finding a date online has never worked out Pretty much has never been an actual thing for me.

Bottom line I think it's about looking at pictures and swiping but never actually meeting with anyone ever

You want some advice ,, get a bank account put money in it and when your at the bank and see a pretty girl at the bank ask her out after she sees you make a deposit or withdraw, deposit is better.

There is a positive thing to this she feels safe cause she seen you make a transaction and she knows you have a bank account with money in it.

Also she is probably a quality woman because she is at the bank making a transaction too

Tons of matches on Tinder. No replies though. POF, I've gotten a few dates over the years (since like 18 years old) which resulted in nothing. OkCupid is my favourite as I seem to get replies somewhat more frequently, and the UI is great. But I have yet to get a date. Definitely just something to do with me lol.

I gave them a try for a short time. I think tere are lots of fake profiles. I also wondered "why are these good looking women not able to find a man IRL?" I came to the conclusion they are probably crazier than they put off. So I dont bother. I will meet someone at a function or social setting, because I am outgoing. If you're an introvert, this may be your only hope.

Most people I talked to on tinder were fairly normal and to be honest I was a bit disappointed since I wanted to troll a few weirdos. But I met my boyfriend from there and we've been together for 2 years.
