I recently got my first full Brazilian Wax and the gentleman doing the wax commented on my "Barbie". I know it is not the point of your post, but there are GUYS doing the Brazilian waxing? I thought it was all women working in those places.
I've seen guys in the waiting room when I go and get a wax. I guess it could be something simple like back, arms or something but I assume some of them go all out.
A lady who is a friend of a friend does that for work. She says guys come in and go all out and some even get erections during the procedure... LOL... What surprises me is that where you went, there was a GUY working there doing it. Seems to me a lot of women would get creeped out with a guy doing it instead of a woman.

I think in reality, it's impossible to differentiate between barbie, tulip & puffs.
Curtains however is the most unpleasant.
