What's your honest opinion about PORN?

Although I watch porn too, I think it has created more negative then positive results. I started watching it when I was maybe 17 (still a virgin) and I didn't know what "amateur" is back then and given the lack of porn for women, I created this false image of how sex should really be. So when I started engaging in real sex, I didn't enjoy it. I thought something was wrong with me because the guys I had sex with did the same as guys in those porn videos, so I thought they knew what they were doing, that that's sex and I'm just fucked up. It took me a long time to find out if there's anything I like about sex, a lot of porn watching to find my perfect fantasy. I did eventually, I found out what positions and body types of men get me off. But I wish I learned this on real sexual experiences, not on porn. Even now I get off porn more then I get off real men. I read some articles and researches about porn and a lot people think that porn has stopped men from approaching and making effort to have real sex with females. Like, why would he risk embarrassment and being rejected when he can just wank on some perfect model in porn? I also think men have false image of sex because they watch porn so often. Not many watch it to educate themselves on how to really please a female, most watch it just for their own pleasure to just jack it off and continue on with their day. I don't know about women on this, I don't talk to other females about porn, it's like a taboo between us. Apparently none of my girlfriends watch porn and ashamed to tell them I do. I talk about porn only with my guy friends. What do you think about porn? Do you watch it and how often? Is your sex life better or worse because of it? Do you think porn should be banned? And if yes, what do you think would happen?

  • I love pornography, i watch pornography and i will support the industry.

With all due respect, porn does not give anyone any negative impacts. If a person get a negative impact, the fault is on their own not the industry. If someone spends endless hours playing a mobile game like Clash of Clans, so uncontrollably that it would interrupt their daily life, who's fault this is? the company who made the game? Or the person who mishandling the product? the answer is simple, the customer is the fault. The existence of a product should never be questioned. A product can exist and must exist when it can under the act of freedom. This is the customer/user's responsibility to educate themselves about the respective product, analyze the product and decide what's best for them and how they can gain benefit out of it and if this is not for them, they can stop using it and leave it be. Porn is not the problem. People's lack of education, management and lack of culture of using that particular product is the problem.

Porn never meant to be the idea of how sexual interactions between humans supposed to be. This is people's misinterpretation. Nothing more, nothing less. Porn is like Hollywood. Pornography industry is a movie production industry. They provide the art of nudity. Porn is the safest, securest, private environment which you can comfortably view nudity from the people who participating in it willingly. It's the only place which you can endlessly explore nudity, express sexuality and observe sensuality. What you gain from it is up to the viewer. Porn can be essentially educational if you look at it the right way. And most importantly, it serves a visual pleasure.

I've been watching porn since i was fifteen years old and to this day, i do follow the industry closely. My social life, my romantic life, my sexual life, my life in every department is doing just fine. If porn is interrupting people's socialization, if porn is misguiding people's information and understanding, that is on people themselves. People need real education on topics like sex. If they do obtain an actual education, they won't be easily misguided. If they study porn before watching it, they won't misinterpret it's purpose.

I'm a dirty minded person. For someone like me, porn is a privilege. Porn gives you this opportunity to expand your mind through sexuality, it's a beautiful spicing fantasy of human's sexual interaction. It's about exploring the full spectrum of sexuality across the board. I love human nudity, i don't just watch porn to take care of my sexual needs and get on with my day. I watch it because it gives me emotional pleasure, it feeds my spirit and keeps my mind creative and activated. This opportunity where i can privately explore the nakedness of human body, male and female both. Observing different shapes, sizes, colors, voices, moves, positions, methods, tools, expressions and so on. Being able to watch the intercourse that occurs between humans, the interaction of the bodies, it gives me so much joy. This is why it's a privilege to me. Where can i find such a source where i can feed my mind at this caliber? specially in modern porn where technology involves and it gives you this chance to explore human body and sexuality with the highest quality and marvelous themes and such creative production behind the film-making process. It's incredibly beautiful and enthusiastic for me. For that, i do and will continue support this industry. It should never be banned. You don't like it? don't watch it. No one has the right to take this freedom away from the rest of us who are happy, enjoying it and are willingly paying for this beautiful art.

Porn industry also is not the monster some people are misguided by. Porn is a very professional environment. But of course there are cons and pros. However, every cons and pros within the industry is exactly like any other place, company and career.

    • The only factor that makes people to lose their mind is the nudity. That's it. For example, for the actors, there is a chance they can be conned in different ways. Doesn't that exist in every single career? there are always companies and employers who are always trying to rub-off their employees in variable ways. Whether cutting down salaries, screwing the insurances and so on. The same stories can happen in porn. Some companies happen to be jerks and they try to con the contracts in order to make the actors to do the scenes they never really agreed to. Or some companies might lie about the safety and precaution of the scenes and so on. But that is not the whole porn. There are tones of misconceptions. The industry is very professional and there are big and famous companies that are validated, these companies are obligated to have the actors to run blood test and urine test every fifteen days and the actors are only allowed to shoot the scene if the medical papers declare their full-health. There are professional contracts between the companies and the actors and so many more considerable actions. The actors are healthy people. Not all of them are broke or these sort of believes that people have out there. Many people love participating in porn. Not all the actors are there only for the money, they are not fooled or something but they are there because they are sexually curious, open and they love to experience such a sexual journey.

    • Many of the pornstars are living happy and normal. They have a life. Some of them are even well educated academically. And personally i have the utmost respect for the sex workers. I watch their work and i have nothing but appreciation for the art they do create which it's also people's lack of understanding and education that they have zero idea how difficult it is to make porn. How physically demanding it is, how many difficulties you must go through. How you need to look after your body sensitively, eat well, exercise well, shoot during hot weather, cold weather, and you have a co-worker that you might not really like but you need to get along with them in certain circumstances, and it's a professional sex, it's not that easy, you need to shoot in very uncomfortable positions and so on. It's not an easy job and it's so terrible that people can't understand it and can't appreciate the art they work so hard to produce. Everything goes back to people's lack of understanding and education at the end. Just and only.

  • Porn is just a tool, a visual aid. Like anything else if taken to an extreme it’s unhealthy. I use it to masturbate myself. It’s not going away so better to understand it’s limited usefulness and focus on other things in life.

  • I have a lot of opinions about porn. Both negative & positive.

I don't watch porn that often anymore. I used to watch it a lot when I was first going through puberty to learn about sex. Nowadays I only watch it maybe once a week or even once every 2 weeks. I only watch it when I'm feeling really horny & want to use my vibrator, to which I prefer using porn to get myself off because my imagination isn't usually creative or visual enough to get me off.

I find that it hasn't really affected my sex life, because thankfully the guys I've been with weren't addicted to porn or anything & they didn't really talk about it with me. But I've gotta say I have been with a guy who had a favourite pornstar & I found it a major turn off. I don't like when a guy I have feelings for is so addicted to porn that he actually has favourite pornstars. Other than that however, it's been okay & porn hasn't been affecting my sex life.

I don't think porn should be banned, I think it's good for people to be exposed to it so that they get used to it & learn to understand the difference between porn & real sex. If it were banned, the world would be really closed minded about sex & possibly less educated about it, so it's better for it to not be banned.

But it's not realistic. I don't watch the porn & expect my actual sex life to be like that. My advice for you is to not worry at all about these false expectations porn is giving you. Porn, just like all movies are unrealistic & not meant to set expectations for reality. Movies are always supposed to be more fantasy-like, just for fun. You can choose to reenact stuff from movies if you want, but it's not normal to, and most people wouldn't expect you to.

I mean yes, porn can give you ideas & teach you things, but clearly a lot of things in porn are unrealistic & really different to real sex. You've just gotta learn to distinguish what aspects of porn are realistic things that you could try & what aspects are just for show. The positions they do in porn for example are mainly just to look good on camera but are uncomfortable to do in person & don't actually feel good. The positions that actually feel good in bed look boring on camera, so you don't see that in professional porn.

Just remember that most people are aware that porn is mostly unrealistic, and as a result, lots of people don't always only want people that look like pornstars, a lot of people are actually more attracted to more realistic looking people that you won't see in porn. Take me for example, I actually am not really into muscly guys like the ones you see in porn, I prefer guys with a belly, like a dad bod basically. The beauty standards in porn might attract & turn people on, but it doesn't mean it always necessarily affects their taste. They still find normal people attractive too.

A lot of guys actually find porn boring, because there's not much pleasure in just watching girls they know they'll never be able to get. Nothing is better than real sex. Watching porn can't beat having actual sex, no matter how attractive the pornstars or positions may be. Same with us girls, like yes it is pleasurable to watch porn, but eventually you will wanna do it with someone you have a connection with & then you wouldn't care too much about whether the guy looks like a porn guy. When you get feelings for a guy, you will realise you'll find more types of guys sexually attractive & not have it limited to just guys in porn.

Porn is just there to fulfil people's unrealistic desires for when they maybe don't have anybody to fuck or when they just wanna switch it up or watch something different to escape reality for a bit. Don't let it affect your sex life :)

  • I don't get what you mean at all. The lessons I've learned from porn are to pleasure the girl in whichever way works best for her and ditto for the girls pleasuring men. If you actually pay attention the the way the actors interact with each other, even in super hardcore fetish bdsm type stuff. especially there actually. The participants take great care in making sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves to the greatest extent possible.

Its almost the only thing they care about actually. So I wonder how much you were actually paying attention to what you were watching and not just looking at the surface level of everything you saw.

The girls I have sex with all love having sex with me. And I owe that to learning how to actually fuck properly by watching porn.

If the guys you were having sex with were "doing it like they do in porn" and you didn't like it then the truth is they were NOT doing it like they do in porn. Because porn guys actually know what they are doing and prioritize the girls pleasure since that makes for a better scene.

  • I enjoy porn and also can understand why it can be problematic. I think it's a great start to getting knowing your preferences but you also have to be able to project this in real life. Self-confidence is a big thing. Putting your expectations at the right level for not being disappointed etc. But definitely would not ban it.

  • My husband and I watch porn together. It has opened up new adventures for us.

  • I am 16 and have watched porn a few times. I stopped because it gave me dark and nasty thoughts.

  • I don't watch it and have no desire to see anyone's genitals, and I don't think it's healthy to watch porn either, but whatever. I attribute it to being the same as alcohol: Not for me, but do what you want.

  • I enjoy watching it but i am in a sexless marriage and really did not look at much until that happened. There are issues about porn that are bad. There are many women in it ( who its there for and make much more than men) but honestly they are not empowered like they think. They are degraded and its for the enjoyment of men. Very few women would voluntarily have sex with like 10 guys and let all 10 ejaculate in their mouth after sodomizing them. Most decent men dont want their wives doing that. Not all the women are exploited but it does happen and there are bad stories like how they get thrown away if they catch aids and stuff, but many people find porn ejoyable and many women say they do not regret it. Some settle down and marry and have kids. I am sure its tough to lead normal lives but some do try.

I guess lots of it comes to people's moral compass. Now i know this will not be popular. I do believe in live and let live, but as soon as gay marriage was legalized by 5 unelected judges and this stuff about genetic men who identify as women use women's room when its obvious to ray charles ( rip) they are really men its one of those WHO HAS A RIGHT TO SAY WHAT IS AND IS NOT MORAL ANYMORE. I mean if a woman likes to have sex with two men and lives with two men and has three somes all the time they would never get custody of a kid over a ex husband who as a church going married man. Today who has a right to say her lifestyle is immoral?

  • Yes, sometimes we watch with a guy. But I'm indifferent to porn. I think you need to learn how to relax, then you can get full pleasure from sex. I faced similar issue too.

  • No, it shouldn’t be banned. You can learn things from porn and you can use it to just get off. To each there own. You just have to decide what is best for you. Do you want to try something new and maybe learn from porn first? Maybe a sex toy? It can be educational and arousing. And, at other points, its just something to get off on.

  • Horribly destructive for underage, particularly girls. It stunts love and normal sexual discovery.
A lot of it is harmless for sexualized adults. and may actually deter cheating and rape.
It should be heavily regulated to make it as inaccessible to underage as possible.

    • Unrealistic view on sex, no emotions and such. And STI seem to be never a topic in porn?

  • how is porn any different sex in real life obviously most girls hate anal and pornstars focussing on camera instead eachother besides that it realalistic

  • I only like #porn when it is realistic, means not done by porn stars. That is mostly #unrealistic and #painful (to the woman mostly) in my view. I cannot believe that such super-fast #penetration in her #pussy or #anus with such a dry #penis is painless to her.

And beside, porn has lied on us already to much: #Anal sex is not normal sex, it is special and trustful. Penis size doesn't matter and an average penis is not 17cm long, it is 11-14cm long. If in doubt, head over to #Wikipedia : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_penis_size Then you can see realistic measurements.

  • Porn is awesome, just not the porn that women watch. Otherwise, I think it's healthy, enjoyable, and even quite necessary for some people.

  • Porn is our wildest fantasies in the flesh, acted out by talentless men and women. They have so many categories because there are a variety of fantasies.

    • It is not fantasies, it is demand. #CapitalismSucks

  • Porn is disgusting and should be banned. It's already banned in my country but some people find loopholes and still watch it over the internet. Pornography exploits and degrades women. It's misogynistic. There are other ways people can learn how to have sex that doesn't exploit vulnerable women.

  • It's disgusting.

    Imagine if

Imagine if the world offered up a smorgasboard of men to women, to gawk and oggle at to their hearts desire,

Imagine if women had their own preferences for which men they like to look at, categorized by their body type

Skater, beef cake, scrawny, chubby, athelete,

What if they could look at quite literally 10s of 1000s of men of any kind they wanted to of any variety, down to hair color, penis size, height, skin color, age, race, demeanor,

Literally anything, you name it and there was a market for it.

Imagine the most popular type was fresh and wide eyed 18-20 year old college men, tall and thin with perfectly shaped muscles, big enough to be manly but not too big that they'd be intimidating, with large penises and a tight ample set of asymmetrical balls to accentuate their smooth and hairles freshly waxed taint, all to grace their beautifully plump and muscular assess.

Imagine if wives spent long hours masturbating to videos of these men performing cunnilingus and analingus on women while tied down, spit on, and slapped.

Imagine if these videos depicted men having spontaneous multiple orgasms just from going down on women and letting women aggressively penetrate their anuses.

Imagine women ignored their husbands and denied them intimacy because they couldn't stop looking at huge penis porn.

Imagine they scrolled endlessly to watch young 18 year old athletic men prance around in speedos so women could stare at their exceptionally large penises bouncing around, as they practically drooled all over the screen

Imagine women patted each other on the back and laughed as they described the 22 year old grocery clerk scanning their groceries, and how badly they wished they could squeeze his tight little ass, all in front of their dear husbands.

Imagine women scoffed at their husband's every time they voiced how small it made them feel,

    "I'm a woman, I can't pretend I don't have eyes! I just appreciate the male form!"

Imagine women told each other and their husbands that reciprocating oral was kinda icky, but that it was okay because men could orgasm from penetration anyways

But that they'd be down to watch another man do it to him!

Imagine that men tried to tell their wives how lonely and neglected they felt, and women simply said "Aren't you happy I'm not out there cheating on you with every Tom, Dick, and Harry? This is just fantasy, it's not real!"

Imagine women everywhere told each other that it was normal to spend this much time looking at naked men.

Imagine, when, men finally had enough of this that women got together in groups and spoke of how broken they were

How much pain they were in and how victimized they were by this unrelenting force that wanted them to fixate on beautiful irresistible men

How how the world had used their love of large penises against them!

Imagine women encouraged each other to celebrate the small victories, after all, they didn't jerk off to that cute grocery clerk again!

Imagine women encouraged each other to ignore their cruel, mean, nagging husbands after all how could men ever understand how hard it is to be a woman?

  • Reducing desperation and it's good for horny kids.

  • No different than anything else... some I like, some I love, most is garbage.

    • Yes, true. Most is garbage and drains only endorphins.

  • the porn industy has this stigma that women are forced or had childhood trama. But honestly if they like to why not.. yes it we watch off it and does create unrealistic expectations. but if we can live out our fantasy i totally support it.

  • Porn does nothing for me.
