I don't fit any of the standards or criteria that people are "supposed" to hit by a certain age.
"Normal Adult" Milestones
16 - Learn to drive
17/18 - Graduate high school

25 - Get promoted
25-30 - Get married/Have first kid
32-35 - Have second kid
My Adult Milestones
18 - Graduate high school
18-20 - Wasted time in art school
21--23 - Community college
23-28 - Working to keep the lights on
29-30 - Graduated with Bachelor's
30-32 - Graduated with Masters
33 - Got first real world job
I'm 33 and only on the "social level" of a 24 year old. I hate being considered "immature" or "not at my age," as if I made a ton of mistakes of anything. I just spent several years working a job that didn't go anywhere, and never making enough to really save up. In other words, I feel old and at a level lower than most people I know, who are married with full time jobs and have kids by now. The only thing that vindicates me is that these people still act WAY more immature than I do, considering how they react to politics/Trump.0 0 0 0Thanks for the MHO.
Yeah, my milestones are quite different from the “normal adult”, but I didn’t even know there was such a thing. After 18 and graduating from high school, community college sort of messed things up and I graduated took a year off (as I didn’t want attend uni) worked then went straight into university (another 4 years).
I don't think these Milestones really apply anymore. Today everything is more flexible and everyone is on a different path and I think most people need some time to themselves to develop as a person as well. A lot of people don't follow this path because they don't know what they want to do or they're not ready for the next step yet etc. And a lot of people don't want to follow those steps at all. If you look at the dating market it's not as straight forward as it used to be either. Everything is changing. Who wants to live life by a checklist other people came up with anyway? So I wouldn't worry about it. You got a masters degree that's something to be proud of. You're always ahead and behind other people at the same time, the point is to make the most of your life and get out of it what you want to get out of it :).
Not really to much except FOR LOL I hate if I'm going riding on the weekend and I have about 8 friend I use to race with I'm older than then and they start saying crap I'm so old talking about themselves and I never say anything and when they raise there head they say that's right your older. I just smile they say how do you do it ,, I say do what ,, they say do all that you do,, because I just go do it and you sit home and tell everyo e how old you are lol no to be honest i like my age if 1 thing sucked it would be its 2020 and all the un known bull shit thats going on if I could change that I would

Dating. Back in my 20s it didn't matter who I dated. If I went too much older the worst that would be said is that I had daddy issues. At 21 it didn't matter how much money they had, what they did for a living, or even their ethnicity. People would just look at us and say "ahh, young love."
Today no matter who I date I'm accused of having ulterior motives. Date an older man. "You're just looking for a sugar daddy." Date a younger man. "You're a cradle robber using him to feel young again." Date a man my age living hand to mouth. "Got just enough time to squeeze out a kid so the three of you can go on welfare." Date a man my age who doesn't panic every time his bills are due. "Get your hands off his bank account, you gold digging hussy." Date a white man. "Gotta keep the race pure, right, Eva?" (with the surname Braun being implied). Date a non-white man. "You're wasting a lot of his time over a fetish." Date a woman. "You're just pretending to be bi because it's trendy."
At my age I can't date anyone without some sort of accusation.0 1 0 0your parents being able to "threaten" you to do stuff like chores, having to sort of mature & stop acting like a teen even though you're still like that mentally, being broke, your parents still treating you like you're 15 even though you're technically an "adult" & starting to feel old
