What would your reaction be if you learned that an adult male showers with his 15 year old daughter, washes her hair, soaps her full body, every day?

Thanks for participating in this social experiment. I intentionally left out details to demonstrate how judgmental and reactionary people are. Not one person considered a positive reason. What does that say about us? Here's the truth: The teenager is severely disabled and cannot clean or dress herself, or much else. Her father is a kind and caring man who is an only parent and has no choice but to tend to her every need, including showering, it's more efficient for him to shower at the same

  • When vital information is left out of course you mind goes to some possible reason. I don't know why you would expect any other answer then it to be improper,

What would your reaction be if you learned that an adult male showers with his 15 year old daughter, washes her hair, soaps her full body, every day?

as that would be what 99% of the people would think. The one percent that didn't were the guys who actually did it.

  • The same as that more recent article about that loving female celebrity that says she showers with her 12 year old son. There’s no double standard about it. Whether its intentional or not, they are in the public eye and suggestive behavior is inappropriate. If they are under 3 years of age, I see no problem with it. She’s lucky she isn’t tried as a sex offender.

    • She should be. If a guy did that with his daughter you would hear about it.

  • "I left out crucial information about the situation and judged everyone for answering the question I posed on a site whose sole purpose is to ask people for their opinion"

What does that say about you?

You conducted a poorly constructed experiment and your conclusion is completely off-base, and isn't qualified in any respectable way.

    • Or are you just irritated that you too immediately thought the worst? It's sad that everyone is focusing on the wrong thing here, which in a way kind of supports my point even more - That most people are reactionary judgmental jerks.

    • How could you possibly extrapolate that from what I said? Very poor observational skills. Your experiment wouldn't pass for a 7th grade science project. Completely baseless...

    • And I actually read the whole thing before casting judgment so do with that what you will.

  • If I'm her dad, we would for sure talk about it.

    • Is today your 42nd birthday, sir AustinMan? Yes, it is best to discuss it.

  • Least she's nice and clean

  • Creepy af.

    • It is under the tag "sexuality" soooo thats kinda suggesting something..

    • G@G auto-assigned that category, so I left it that way on purpose.

    • Could have put it under family or something if you wanted it be an actual "social experiment " Can't blame people for thinking the worse when that's how it's tagged.

  • I would be absolutely thoroughly disgusted.

  • I just got to this and would have said: I need a back story.

    • Back story is in the question update.

    • Yes. I would have asked for it before making an assessment.

    • My point of this whole thing was to point out to people that as we rush to judge, we base everything on what we are told - the information at hand. This is a great story in the sense that one view has the guy being a saint and the other has the guy being the devil. This is what the media does to people every day. This is what a simple allegation of rape or child molestation does to men. This is what we do to each other. We tend to assume the worst in people that we don't know personally. We are a sick society.

  • Bad experiment. You shouldn’t have put in under the sexuality category. How does him washing his disabled daughter belong in the sexuality category?

  • I would think a 15-year-old girl would be too shy for that.

  • Its very weird. Why is she showing with her father?

    • She's unable to shower herself.

  • Are they both NT?

    • If by NT you mean neuro-typical, then no, the daughter isn't.

    • Then it makes sense. I do mean neuro-typical by NT. Unless she's pretty high functioning it's kind of a necessity.

  • weird

  • Very unfair.
A father must keep a distance from her daughter when she comes of age.

  • It's his daughter, for god sake

  • as long as its not sexual its no big deal

  • Sounds like a pedophile

  • Totally inappropriate

  • I would wonder if the Republicans will nominate him for Senate. Hey-he'd be a favorite in most Southern States-have the not-inconsiderable pedophile vote there sewn up!

  • hey, someone's gotta do it. It's the entitlement generation and if he didn't do it for her, she'd probably be walking around all nasty like those Antifa chicks who never took a shower in their life

  • That's hot. Pics?
