When should I tell my boyfriend about pregnancy?

Today something strange happened during having food with my family. I was fine until the plate of pasta shrimp was placed in front of me. I ate a little and all of sudden I got sick and I was going to throw up in front of everyone. They noticed that and i barely managed to cover it up with something. My boyfriend got suspicious and he narrowed his eyes while looking at me. We went home and and he didn't say anything to me until now. I am not sure myself but should I speak about it or not.

There is no right or wrong way to tell a partner about a pregnancy. (Well, maybe a few wrong ways.) But breaking the news when the pregnancy was unplanned can be particularly anxiety-provoking. Unlike you, he needs to go through this panicky experience right there, in front of you. He may need to vent his feelings, fears, anger, shock, and concerns before the two of you can start to contemplate any decisions together. If he needs to go for a walk or a drive, give him the space to do that — you want your partner to think things through for a moment before you start discussing your new reality. In an ideal world, you’ll both react similarly to the news, but you'll need to be prepared for the possibility that you two might want different things.

I would hope you would be able to tell your boyfriend (and I think your fiancé, right?) before you took a pregnancy test, because that possible pregnancy is about both you and him.

Plus, it would be nice if you didn’t have to bear the burden of finding out if you’re pregnant alone. You guys are a couple, and should be there for each other, especially in stressful times.
