When you're hard, and something causes you to lose your erection quickly... what does that feel like, physically? Is it painful?

Not painful at all (unless you're talking about a case of blue balls. THAT can be painful). I guess you can equate it with the feeling you get when your nipples stop being hard. Basically, you don't even notice it except that they aren't sticking out anymore. If anything, depending on the situation, it's more of a disappointment (or a relief, if you don't want one!) than anything physical. It CAN hurt more to GET ONE in certain situations! Maybe your pants are a bit tight and you get one sitting down and then try to stand up, the pants won't LET IT stick out and try to bend it! It's not exactly painful, more like uncomfortable, almost like a cramp. Moving it into a better position will stop it from hurting.
Then, there's situations where it actually gets very sore of being "numb", which I almost had 2 days ago, again. It has to do with how you're sitting and what you're sitting on. Mostly, I get it from very slim bike seats. After about 5:00, of sitting on one, the blood pumping into it can't get back out BECAUSE of the way I'm sitting on it so, it just keep getting bigger and bigger until I shift a bit to one side or the other or just stand up to pedal for a while. The bigger it gets, the less the blood can get back out making it even bigger! If I sit that way for too long, it feels the same as if you put a ball in your arm pit and keep your arm tight against your side for a minute. Your arm will go numb and get very tingly. Same thing can happen with Mr. Dick. One night, we were in the middle of playing a gig and it happened to me because of the way I was sitting behind the drums. We finished one song and were about to start another when my singer looked back to see if I was ready but, I was standing up! He asked what was wrong, I told him that my dick fell asleep! He snickered a moment and then announced to everyone that we'd be a moment because my dick fell asleep. Someone mentioned giving it oral resuscitation but no one offered. After about :20, I was okay to continue the show.

Barely notice it really. If you want a similar sensation try tightening any muscle of some size you have. Bicep. Buttocks. Abs. Anything. Do so for a minute without pause and then relax. That is fairly close. Not painful. Not unpleasant. Not really a strong feeling at all.

Any painful part is mostly mental. An erection while often linked to the level of excitement isn't strictly speaking the same. And so when you're really excited but the erection drops anyway that is a little more of a mental, not physical, punch in the gut. But you can picture the same I am sure.

It is MENTALLY agonizing. PHYSICALLY, the pressure, in the penis goes away, along with the pleasure the 'hard-on creates in the erect penis. Seeing and feeling the 'pressure' of a really hard erection is not duplicated by anything else, I can think of.

i have often wondered the same thing about a girl's clitoris, regarding the pressure she feels with the blood build-up on the clitoris, and if there is a big pressure differential, when the blood leaves your clitoris.
