Sexual Health I don't understand why girls are brought up to hide their bodily functions like passing gas or pooping. When I was little my mom asked me not to fart around anyone even at home. My brothers freely did it at home while I always left for the bathroom or to my room whenever I needed to fart. At school if I got the urge to poop I would hold it uncomfortably until I came home because I was too afraid of the sounds and the odor. Some of my female friends had the same problem. I was told to make sure the toilet was super clean and it didn't give any bad odors before leaving. Sometimes I suffered from problems like constipation due to this issue. I often do my best to painfully hold it whenever I need to pass gas. And I'm afraid to use public toilets so I wait until I come home if I need to go.
I think many women face this issue. Why are we brought up to live like if we are not humans? I think this is something women themselves made up over the generations because men do not seem to be much stressed over these matters.

13 21It's all about the lady-like behaviour that was brought over the generations. It's not just you, I think this is common among most girls. This is probably the reason why some guys say "Girls don't poop and fart" when they actually do. And it's not healthy for you to hold it that way.
I know it's not healthy but I've got used to this way.
Most of the reasons is religious ideals of "purity"
People feel embarassed
Its usually just kids/ young people
so your mother would rather have you go around smelling like shit and having bad breath as a result than to just take a dump when you need to? that's some fucked up logic right there. and your mom would rather have all that bacteria get inside your throat and make you sick rather than relieve your bowels so you don't get sick? that's really fucked up when you think about it. but the passing gas i can understand though. i was in the hallway a couple of times and a woman and some women were in front of me by several hundred feet and not aware i was there and all they did was fart and burp and it was a real turn off and disgusting and gross to see and hear. but you should fart in your own home though but in public just make sure no one is around when you fart in public
It’s honestly the opposite for me. My mom was a great influence on my sisters and I in that we were brought up to fart and belch freely and actually find humor in it. I had the opposite situation where my sisters and I would fart and burp freely while my brothers wouldn’t. My female friends have no problem farting and burping in front of my male friends because of the influence I’ve had on them, and you’re more likely to hear “I have to take a shit” from me, one of my sisters, or one of my female friends than from any guy I know.
It really sucks when you’re put in the position of being uncomfortable to indulge in your natural urges. If I were you I’d try to unlearn the stigma. You don’t want to live the rest of your life feeling uncomfortable farting in front of others.

It's not "lady like" or "proper" behavior for a lady. Kind of ridiculous really, but the mentality a lot of women have. Especially older generations.

I guess they don’t women to look as savage as men can with that, that’s why it’s always a joke that women don’t fart but obviously do
But they are natural things all humans have to do. Then coughing and sneezing should also be considered savage.
Maybe because they don’t smell when you cough or sneeze, I guess what I’m trying to say is women are looked at as being cleaner than men just like society excepts them to be hairless except for the head
