The word girl with the letter "s" at the end is plural; which means you're directing the question to all of us and that's not fair because everybody isn't the same person. Neither do we have the same taste or the same intentions! I'm a female myself and I don't do stupid s**t like that! Maybe a long time ago when I was a kid but definitely not now. After I became an adult, I grew out of silly childish habits. Come to think of it; I never video chat, post pictures of myself, or send pictures of myself on the Internet... I hardly even brag about my life, the things I have, or what I'm doing, and what I'm wearing. Usually if I decide to show someone how I look; it has to be a person that I'm super close with and really truly like. Oh and by the way, if I were going to cyberly share something with the world; it would be something major and worthwhile. Not little small unnecessary stuff that is pointless!!! Yes I love attention; but I don't force it. I let it come to me naturally!!! When you don't seek attention; the attention will seek you.
I used girl"s" because there isn't just one girl who does this. I know not every woman does this.

Some girl have actually started working out during quarantine and I know a lot of woman on my IG who loves their new body!
So basically it’s just to show off their new bodies and how much weight they’ve lost.. If I looked and the body like the girl in the picture you provided I would show off my body too.
Also, it’s not about being slutty or being a “thot” like I said, some woman have the bodies to show off more than someone like the big girl who played in Pitch Perfect. Others think Rebel Wilson doesn’t have the body to show off because she’s on the bigger side, although it can be true. Most people like to see someone skinny without fat showing off their body.

Right now, they may feel there is less public risk of embarrassment and they are more hard up for some kind of social attention. Most people are going through this right now, men and women, all ages. Getting board and wanting some kind of interaction. Showing skin is a tried and true age old way to get attention.
Probably because now that they are not out and about they are not getting as much attention as usual and its starting to get to them (women need a lot of validation (regardless of whether or not they try to tell you otherwise) and with the quarantine they are not getting it).

I think with nothing to do, they're bored and really some of the only entertainment they may have at home is trying to get some likes and comments on social media.

I don't know. I haven't even used Instagram or Facebook since 2017. I suppose they do because now there's confinement they have too much free time to spend in social media. Probably they are girls who value a lot attention and are used to get it, and now they can't go out and see other people, their only way to get their doses of attention is through social media.
They're bored. Social media is a means of human contact. They can't exactly see people and go places, so the number of things to post about is seriously limited.
