I don't think men are more interested... I've never had a man obsessively lecture me on not being a virgin. It's always been women. Religious women and Eastern European women from Bulgaria and Romania to be exact. Most men who have mentioned it see it as a fetish. The women I've heard it from have all learned it from other women. It's bizarre, because not one of them has had a hard time attracting men who want relationships even when they have not been virgins. Their realities don't match their beliefs. An example would be my mother. She's been proposed to so many times that I lost count, but she hasn't been a virgin since her teens.
