Why are most men voyeurs?

So, my bathroom has a ventilating window that is blurred and only allows a passerby to see your silhouette, all apartments are the similar way.

I am usually showering early in the morning and late night and I have never worried about being seen by someone. Even if they see you, they can just see your silhouette of your upper body.

Today I took a shower in the afternoon and as I was showering, some passerby - probably someone going to the neighboring apartment- stood right in front of my window and was looking at my silhouette obviously, as I was seeing his silhouette too…

Now I think I have a pretty good silhouette and I am not too worried about that, but what’s wrong with men not passing any opportunity to have a glance of a woman body?

I mean I’m trying to be fair. If you don’t want to be social in certain ways then it’s really best to take extra steps to make sure your woman cave: your home, is the private and quiet place you want and would expect it to be.

It seems a bit silly. Like their physiological eyes cannot actually harm us. Some of us just don’t like it or like everyone doing that because of our own preferences and wanting to share that/ those intimate moments with our special boo and not the whole town.

At the same time guys expect women just to take this kind of behavior with grains of salt, and to be honest constant staring can annoy anyone. Pesky kids staring while we eat can annoy us, celebrities getting scoped by paparazzi can annoy us as humans…

most living things actually DONT like to be stared at. Those who do can have some narcissistic tendencies, can have faced some type of neglect or for them personally an attention deficit and not just deficit but needs met with their parents/siblings so they will potentially develop a “need” and associate attention with closure/ or needs being met, and possibly leading to them getting any needs/desires met and HANDED by others to them other than them being independent and affording to cover for their own needs or developing friendships/ genuine companionships/relationships that help them to thrive, grow, and feel a sense of fulfillment.

When I say MOST (ly all) creatures do not like being stared at is because this is a survival instinct. To be stared at by anything is associated with stalking or being hunted..

Predator and Prey do not like this. In wolf packs, and lion prides, eye contact is possible and this can be a threat and challenge to rank and possibly safety as well, so when this is occurring and prolonged, those two animals will fight for dominance or until death. Etc.

Both females and males in predatory groups face this amongst themselves. Usually it’s challenges and dominance but let’s look at the word here. What are they dominating? It’s like they’re the humans of their environment. The different countries and the different aspects they “rule” over is for their survival. If a male lion doesn’t dominate his pride land he loses hunting game privileges and the chance to prolong his own kind.

Dominance is basically synonymous for access. Access to resources that cultivate survival and wellbeing. So if another animal stares AT THEM. They have to fight for what is theirs. Their survival is under threats.

For prey… anything staring at them is actually looking to kill them lol whether an animal or poacher. They’re at the bottom there and such. They can’t differentiate between “good humans” and poachers/ cruel humans/ and their known predators.

So… us also having a part in the food chain. Introverted or not, we do nottttt like being stared at.

If someone is overly sexual and lacks morals or preference in how that’s done (a mate/ partner/ spouse) they will not MIND being stared at by others in a sexual context MOSTLY.

Any time any of us is in a simple atmosphere and someone is just staring at us at their own table- we’ll get annoyed most likely and be ready to fight or confront them. We’d think: “oi bub, what’s the loose eye for? You wanna go?” 🥊

So everyone has to understand that while some women invite and welcome the sexual staring, many do not prefer this and naturally will not welcome staring at all.

No all have experienced neglect/ identity issues/ high sex drive/ and narcissism. Some are and do become socially confident and don’t mind being a role model. A leader, but even the most confident people may have some type of battle within- about wanting the attention and not wanting to be stared at. The most confident may not like publicity or being the life of the party, and some of them may have began a path of wanting attention and associating it with something else, so as confident and well equipped they are for the public eye or being the center of their meetings and parties, the wanting to be seen… stemmed from something long ago. They just live and coexist with it in a healthy way.

This is my insight and overview, my thought process and recollection of what I’ve read about from other real guys, from facts pertaining to the animals and, real world views from other females as well. I think staring for sex is alright or being curious, waking with your eyes open lol, observing or admiring, but the simplest thing is if someone asked not to or is in a private place they want for themselves, then other people: men and women, really ought to respect that.

AND lastly as well as furthermore, we can’t rely on everyone to respect us personally, so taking measures to put healthy boundaries between us and others is always a GOOD thing. Not everyone gets the whole:

personal space/ personal bubble/ personal preference ordeal. To some, that can be confusing. We can either explain it, or take action for ourselves, or do both? 🤷‍♀️

That would be a good solution for this which you consider a problem against your natural preference (possibly). I only must say if the disrespect escalates: of course of course involve authorities: law enforcement, and any trusted males you know like relatives/ friends. Even a cluster of female friends. Recall any safety training you learned in your time, and take actionary measures that will prevent any crossed boundaries that endanger your happiness or physics (well) being. A lot of the guys also gave good points about why they do it. It’s not all in bad intention but if you want to save yourself for a special boo in future reference then their behavior unbeknownst to some of them, is a problem and is a threat.
