Why are people so offended over nudity?
Really why do people get so offended over seeing people nude? Like its completely natural and nudity isn't always a sexual thing either so what's the issue it?

  • I agree with you, a nude body isn't anything new, it happens anytime and nudity is part of life like they have these nudists colonies where people go lay on these beaches naked it happens all about life.

  • Because it shows them something that they are jealous of and/or can’t have or wished they had

  • I mean I dont have an issue with other peoples nudity but my own however I do. Like if someone can feel confident while being nude more power to then because I sure dont.

  • I get offended by over dressing lol... seriously... I don't get it either. I am perfectly comfortable being nude but I know lots of folks are not. I recently made my first visit to a nudist resort and it will definitely not be my last. I enjoyed myself very much - even wrote a GaG question about it :)

Have you recently been a first time nudist resort visitor?

    • I only get offended by over dressing if its 90+ degrees out and I see a bitch wearing a sweater and uggs. And nudist resort sounds fun!

    • lol... mid August, was moving my daughter into her dorm. It was mid-90's with dripping humidity. I was in tshirt and shorts - and dying... I see this other Dad moving his kid in. The freakin guy was wearing a long sleeve shirt with a tie AND corduroy pants lol. I almost fainted just looking at him :) And yes, my nudist resort visit was fun. Always wanted to try and was glad I did.

  • Nudity is Beautiful!

  • People are picky, most are. They do not mind seeing a gorgeous body of the opposite sex nude in most cases yet they are offended by nudity in general like you have mentioned.

  • Usually because of differences in cultures and also society norms

  • some people dont have the proper show off body and some nude people can be very blinding to see lol

  • I think people just feel insecure, because they kinda wish that they were confident enough to get naked.

    • Yess I agree

  • I don't know I would imagine that people that get offended by this are actually insecure about themselves.

So if say they see someone that they can visually see that they have a better body than them, they take out their frustration over that fact on the person

  • Sex I guesd

  • They equate a nude body as an open invitation for sexual intercourse when that is not the case. Heck, God created us without clothing and it was good- until man's sin nature took hold, that is.

As a Massage Therapist, I have seen more than my fair share of skin. But I see it for a REASON. The skin is the largest organ of the body and it contains the remaining organs, muscles, tendons, blood, bones, etc of the body. It is my job to bring relaxation, easier movement, reduced pain, and a general sense of well-being to people. Seeing and touching their skin is just part of the job requirement, but my focus 99% of the time is what lies BENEATH the skin, and I determine much of what I do by palpating the skin and the underlying structures. So even while I might be giving an erotic massage, it is for the benefit of the client who wants it, not as a prelude to sex.

The same applies to nudists. These are simply people who believe that there are times when they do not want the restrictions that come along with the wearing of clothing. They are seeing skin for a reason, too. But, they do not view this as an open invitation for a sex ad nauseam. I'm not a nudist, but I have done massage workshops at a nudist group with a fellow female therapist and really didn't have any problems: everyone knows there will be skin- lots of skin- but THAT is the end of how far "it goes".

Skin? Yes. Surf? Yup. Sun? Of course. Sex? Not automatically!
Skin? Yes. Surf? Yup. Sun? Of course. Sex? Not automatically!

Example- The second week of our first of two "big huge main massage courses" (in addition to electives) , a lady told the instructor she had to drop out. When asked why, she answered that she didn't realize "that I would have to touch people so much". What WAS she thinking it WOULD be? sigh

  • Haha it's this kind of thing that encourages guys to send dick pics to girls.

You better watch what you say cause who knows the next step might be flashing girls their dick in real life.

And with what you're saying they can't be offended.

    • It doesn't bother me to see a picture of a dick and seeing one in public. Its nothing to flip out over lol

    • Maybe stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about others.

    • I could care less about what a random stranger thinks. Its not my job to make others feel comfortable. The only people I care about our my family, friends and myself. All of these people are comfortable with nudity

  • Because they can see but not touch? 😂🤔🎃😝

  • To be honest I don't really know may be living in past or narrow minded culture.

  • Just cultural attitudes

  • Society

  • My own opinion to the questions it that.. it was low mentality that always Cust it

  • Are you offended by it?

    • If you can't tell from the vibe of this question. No I'm not offended by nudity. In my opinion life would be better if everyone could be able to be nude if they wanted to be.

    • I was told by a Certain user Last night that he actually sent you a pic one time. How did you respond to it?

    • Haha not sure guess it depends on who it was

  • So would you be willing to send nudes to a complete stranger?

    • Well yeah pretty much. Like if there was a way I'd knew that they couldn't mistreat my pic like selling/showing them I'd be comfortable

    • See that is the point. Not many people are that upright. They start capitalizing on your body pics

    • I pretty much love to see yours then😋
