Uhh I guess if you ment it as a compliment then all should be good. He was probably just uncomfortable that you would single out his butt of all places and probably doesn't like it. But don't feel discouraged or feel you did anything wrong by commenting about his behind as some people prefer it and others don't. If you're not at that stage in the relationship where he's comfortable with you touching him in that area then you probably should stop or wait for him to get more comfortable. Much like if he was to touch you somewhere which you were not comfortable with. When I was younger at school some girl would occasionally slap my behind as I was walking down the steps and I felt she invaded my personal space whether it was just for fun or whatever it was inappropriate and I didn't like it one bit.
