It's not equivalent to sex. It's something different that's enjoyable in it's own way. Sex is mutual, it involves a connection to another human, it's inter-personal. Masturbation is individual, it's just you in your own world, it's intra-personal. Sex would be like dancing and masturbation would be like listening to music; they're related, but not the same thing.
It is a supplement and normal for guys. Girls usually do not have the same drive and that is fine, so the outlet is good.

I watch it, and without question the main reason I watch it is because my sex life with my partner is far less frequent then I desire.
With an optimal sex drive, i'd like at porn most likely once in a while, and possibly even with my partner sharing things that turn us on. But it would just be a little fun add on to our sex life, not a replacement for an unsatisfying one.

As other users said they just sometimes need to get off and their girlfriend just can't or doesn't want to help them out with that, sometimes they may just be so used to it as an activity that they miss it even if they are in a healthy relationship. Before I got a boyfriend I just accepted it as the truth that even if he watches porn it doesn't mean there is sometning wrong with me. I watch porn myself sometimes for sheer amusement. And then I was a bit confused when I couldn't have sex a for a while and my boyfriend was getting really needy wanting me to get him off with a blowjob and I really wasn't in the mood so I told him he could deal with it himself this time, he said it doesn't feel right to watch porn and jack himself off when he has a girlfriend. To each their own I guess.

I mean it’s not always tru tho. My boyfriend got cheated on by his ex but has never cheated. I have a lot of guy friends and none of them are cheaters. I only ever knew of one guy that cheated on my friend but other than that I haven’t really heard of any guys cheating like that.

That's just my opinion about porn. Watching porn constitutes cheating in my opinion. If someone fantasizes about other naked women, how do I know he's not gonna cheat on me, given the chance? There's only a thin line between watching and touching. Plus it's offensive because it means he doesn't consider you attractive enough. Call me old-fashioned or anything, but that's just what I believe
