They are just compression pants. The tightness helps blood flow to those areas which aids in recovery after a workout. Most guys wear shorts over them though as it would be inappropriate to not. Tight pants are the guy version of leggings which are pretty comfortable!! Maybe they're looking for comfort that will show off all the hard work they are doing at the gym? Most guys where I am wear that to the gyms, I think it's just your everyday work out clothes..

Some of them, the chubbier guys will cover up with big T-shirts usually. I haven't seen anyone go topless. I think the long tight pants also help with circulation and all that while you work out, there will definitely be some technology and research in the design. Those pants are also better for cardio, like cycling.

Not necessarily. I think it's a fitness thing more than anything else so either gender can wear them. I don't like how it looks purely because I'm not into muscular guys to that extent but I'm sure people who are do like how it looks.

@Dme500 a nice tailored shirt and slacks always gets my attention. But if you want to keep it in the workout realm, shorts/sweatpants that aren't spandex usually work. I can make out the shape of his behind and see his legs just fine with that.

They make the legs look big. You can see the sculpted definition through the tightness.
They're also comfortable to wear, added to the fact that it makes training legs and compound movements a lot easier because your legs are free to bend and straighten.
Most if not of these are gym pics, so they're in training gear.

It is feminine. I love guys with muscle and love seeing nice bodies, but I'm more attracted to masculinity than anything. A muscular guy who dresses like that and takes belfies is *not* sexy to me. So many guys miss the point worrying about girly things like being really skinny or shaving their chests.
